I don't know about anybody else but I received my new business cards... anybody know why they still say IVAX Laboratories, Inc. A member of the TEVAGROUP? I mean I don't know about you but I was under the impression from our Teva Specialty Pharmaceuticals meeting that we are now called TSP. Whatever just so my paycheck comes every two weeks - doesn't really matter what it says. Just found it rather humorous. Wondered if anybody else thought the same.

how amusing...i find it more comical that you weren't paying attention at the meeting when they addressed this specific issue...pay attention now...TSP will not be a "legal entity" till 01/01/07...still laughing?

I've seen cleaner Port o' Johns. I’m not sure what is worse, the crap that comes out of SL mouth or his complete disregard for employee morale. Hey Scott, Spend more time managing and less time monitoring this board and removing threads that hurt your feelings

Exactly how about some positive comments and support from our sales leader on our performance selling and not a constant concern over when I am logged in on my freaking laptop! Hey we are all adults and should be getting our jobs done - I don't need a damn babysitter.

ditto, the above poster. I used to work for Big Pharma and left there to come to work for IVAX precicley because of they way that Big Pharma treated it's employees... distrusting, micromanaging.. etc.... I guess I'll be looking for another small pharma company soon.....

More like Big Pharma everyday. Now with you trackers you need to send in how many calls were made w/ProAir - left samples? Qvar -Left Sapmles? What a joke. What the hell are the SRFs for? They are blaming it on the laptops - but we have never been told to do this before. Just more bullshit busy work to do. Gotta run - make sure my computer is off before 8:30am - what a joke.

Ivax was a haven in the storm for many of us that were unhappy at big pharma. In my experiences in a pod setup, there was myself and another rep who worked daily to grow share, another rep who worked frequently but needed encouragement to stay focused and 2 other reps who hardly worked at all, yet they were the ones to always leave messages and "Best Practices" and thusly were recognized at all meetings as the standard for which to strive.

Favoritism, lack of focus, inefficient managers, pointless reports and makework was what brought almost all of our experienced reps and many of our managers over to Ivax and now Teva from other companies.

I stayed positive through this entire transition even though several friends and mentors were lost in the shuffle. I too came out of Kansas City with a feeling of accomplishment and optimism. But that has all changed. Now, we have a bunch of managers who for the most part were hired by Mason, Rich, and Jesus who haven't had to spend a real day "Selling" in many cases for 3-4 years, watching and criticizing our daily activities through a system that is set up too incorrectly and inefficiently to rely on for upper management activity reports. These assclowns are auditing our daily activites on a system that is so bad, we are forced to perform duplicate reports on Excel as a way for these managers to be able to understand what we are doing in the field.

And then without even having data on how well we are performing in the field in our new territories or if we could perform any better and still make the most impactful calls possible, criticize call averages despite the huge increase in geography and better yet our call note taking skills, even though these call notes were supposed to be for our own benefit in use of precall planning and follow up.

I guess that many of us that still take offense at the mindless reports and micromanagment of big pharma will have to move on to greener pastures again. Only this time, I will be sure to notify my customers of what Teva is doing, and let them make the decision as to whether to allow the next rep in the revolving door at Teva a chance to develop a relationship.

All of us have tools to offer this company, it's too bad they aren't interested in taking advantage of what we all bring to the table. They want mind numbed robots to deliver samples and meet an imaginary number of calls per day based on some retarded top 50 targets.

Best of luck

The grass is greener on the other side. At least it was for me.

What have you got to lose, bail out buddy! Don't stay and be miserable, life is too short! There are good companies out there, just do some investigating.

Trust me, I am doing my due diligence as we speak. Yet somehow in the back of my mind I keep hoping these guys, here, will come to their senses and just let us do our jobs.

Fire us if we lose share for a quarter, reward us if we grow share for a quarter, and crack down on us if we are flat.

I would still be here and be well rewarded if that was the case for every quarter since I started.

But thats just how I think I guess.

Best Regards

Your business cards read the way they do due to legal requirements with the buyout, and that TSP is not officially the name on the books until Jan 1 2007. At that point we will all become TEVA employees and be rolled into TEVA benefits.

Stay patient with the transition. These things take time. Yeah the missing data is frustrating, but there is a reason and it will happen at some point. The company will be fair to you with bonus during this period. It is still a hell of a lot better here than at major pharm. We are going through changes, and this is not the old IVAX, you just need to change along with us and accept this. We are turning into "Medium" pharm, and that is just the way it is. The grass is not greener, trust me. This is not a bad place to work.

The grass is definately greener! We all have some outstanding doorstops from IBM, kinda expensive though! I've already heard from many top performers with Proair who were treated really fairly with the bonus this period. They did not lose any share whatsoever and then made $0 despite having shares over 4%.

In my 2 experiences with Big Pharma (yes, I'm an old Fart), As long as you didn't lose share you made at least a minimum payout, but not here.

There is about to be serious turnover from several of our top performers, people that are recognized at recent meetings, due to the micromanagment from above, duplicate reports, lack of payout for positive growth, undecipherable incentive plan that only adjusts the rewards for underachievers, useless computers that we are still forced to use despite their lacking of any useful data, ineffective managed care team, lack of understanding of the importance of medicaid when you have extremely large territories, and the list can go on and on.

By the way, this is only a recital of all the complaints I am hearing out there. This is also because the same recruiters that are getting them their interviews are getting me mine.

I figure the Ivax has got about 30 days to get its act together or it really will be a company that is focused on dropping samples and nothing more, because the quality sales people are interviewing for quality positions with real benefits and salaries and real bonus plans.

Many of these positions that are hiring currently are with medium pharma and small pharma and specialty markets, so don't try that big pharma bullshit.

I'm going along with post #14...I've been with Ivax for several years, and despite the exisitng problems, there where times it was way worse & in spite of all the problems at Ivax, I still sold what was in my bag and earned a respectable bonus check every quarter, some bonuses were less than others, but it certainly wasn't b/c Ivax wasn't supportive.

Some of you complainers do have some validity, but you're also caught up in the mindset of "give-me" or "we don't have this" boo hoo. Ivax works with what they have, and maybe things could have been handled differently with some issues or better, but working here has proved one thing, to me at least...you get what you give as a sales professional. And the challanges that I have had to oversome at Ivax has made me a better sales pharma rep.

Unfortunately, some great reps left, & I wish them much success. But as always there will be other great reps who choose to stay here or not. I for one will give the Teva folks a fair shot! Integration, of 2 multi-billion dollar companies is a huge challenge and requires time & I think once we go through the bumps and bruises...the proverbial "greener grass" may very well be here at Teva a few weeks or few months away...

Take a deep breath people...stop panicking...aren't you just a little bit curious where we will be 3 months from now...other small/medium pharma companies aren't going anywhere...I'm confident Teva will come thru & I'm staying along for the ride!

Perhaps in the integration process of the companies TSP or IVAX should take a closer look at the attrition rate in the Chicago region, 8 reps in less than 2 years may be a result of a dictator running the region.
Last time I checked the cost of training and hiring a rep was close to $20,000. Is this guy really worth losing all these people and many more to come?
