No one even gave us a heads up nor a voice mail to let us know. That is just unprofessional. Just let us know so we can plan for our bills, "fun", etc. Even though having the security of a job is very important, not sure that staying at Organon necessarily means that. I am glad to be done with this low-level, low-paying, cheap-ass company. Winning a quarterly contest with the prize being a $50 gift card, are you kidding me??? Good luck to the "staying employees"........

The F-Heads will be giving us our checks on the 29th. This is for "protection" when they check out the reps. Love that transparency.

i am not going to be an organon apologist on this, but i have always receia message from either my manager or the ho regarding the bonus. it is not unreasonable to get our bonuses by the end of the month, but if they are not approved in the upcoming week i just dont know how that happens. is it therefore any surprise that we will be gone on 9/28. could you imagine 500+ people who have checked their bank accounts (or heard from their colleagues) that the bonuses did not get paid in a room at an 800 sendoff on 9/29. that would be a shitty scenario. on the bright side, my manager sd that we are significantly ahead of pace for hitting our $5K year end bonus target. if we close at our present pace, we will be just fine.

this is a problem EVERYWHERE. cynics like yourself who think the world is out to get them. you would'nt be happy anywhere and can't survive the least bit of adversity. heaven help the people around you in a crisis, it's definitely not going to be your fault, just wouldn't want to be the guy that didn't run away from you fast enough... ford just offered most of its workers buyouts today...maybe you should ask the big o for one yourself...oh that's right, they don't offer buyouts to journeymen w/ 2 yrs tenure...but things will work out for you in the end of course...with your 6 yrs of previous experience at 4 other companies, you should have no trouble finding another job, an interviewing pro like yourself always knows the right thing to say to get the job. (maybe you could start a blog on interviewing tips and finger pointing) anyway, you will have 27 401-ks to consolidate by the time your finished working (retirement seems more of a term i reserve for someone who put a significant time of service in at one company) plus social security (oops, there i go, i opened my big mouth, something else for you to complain about).

well, gas prices are down, hurricane season is almost over, not sure what else there is for you to complain about...like to see you take a front row seat at the town hall meeting at the poa so you can ask michael a real zinger about pet pharmacy benefits since we own intervet...

Are you f-ing serious???????????? Obviously, you are not one of the 150 who lost their jobs. Complain?? That's what you do when you wait in line too long, or have a bad day at the office. Complain??? I think that's hardly the response word that fits what Organon did to its reps. Should we have been more proactive? Yes. Should we have seen it coming? Probably. BUT, when you have your "trustworthy" DM and RD emphatically stating over and over (and over) that NO ONE is losing their jobs, you start to have a little faith and develop a little used practice that is called LOYALTY. Stupid? Yes. Too comforatble? Most likely. But this isn't about "complaining". We are worried about paying our bills, supporting our families, and going to the grocery store until we find a job that is worth us taking. I believe in Karma and fully believe what comes around goes around, just you wait........ Including you, the idiot above poster.

my comment was not directed at the people who lost their jobs, it was directed at the idiot who is so cynical as to have to degrade anyone who continues works for this company. maybe you could explain to me exactly what job security is? is it selling a blockbuster like vioxx for a major corp like merck? well, what happened to those reps. or is it selling plavix thinking your the king of shit only to find you have no bonus check this quarter because the pharmacies are filling plavix orders w generics? don't think these reps arent going to sweat out the next year? and oh btw, if bms and sanofi prevail and get compensation from apotex, do you think it will flow back down to the reps, dont bet on it? you just have to accept your place in this world. you sound like those demanding receptionists in the office who complain about (free) lunches and the product reminders. they think they spent 15 years training and that they are the integral key to the office. wake up bitch, you would' nt have a job w/o the dr. so let me summarize once again, i am very sorry that many familiar faces will not be at this next poa, and i personally have a number of gripes about the recent and soon to occur events, but in the next year i donot see a significant threat to our jobs. if you do, then maybe it is time for your get back to interviewing. your complaint about not being able to find a good job falls on deaf ears. there are two possible options, your are not a worthy job candidate or the job market in your area is not that great, if it is the latter, move. michaels deployment of more territories in major metro areas is one of the (few) sound ideas he has had in a while. many displaced reps were able to interview for other positions and are secure again.

good luck friend, it really sounds like you need it

chew on this, branch rickey, gm of the dodgers said, "luck is the residue of hard work" - if you go out and do your job on a daily basis, the opportunities will find you.

You are all idiots. We are all left with a bunch of drunk adulterers without business acumen. To wit: MK, JS, MN, WC, etc. You will miss the business old days of AC.
