You know Craig, Chris Bonehead, and Weightlifter Matt [heard he goes to work at 10:00 AM after his workout at his house] , These guys did not know that I was on the Governor's Healthcare Consortium Committee and was very prevy to information or other data that could have been helpful to the company. Craig and the boys just do not get it. The position is an appointed one by the State---Ask Michelle Dempsey, but she may not even know we are on Medicaid. I do remember that it was 4 months after the fact when we had Pexceva that I found out by accident it was in preferred status----who is running the sales department anyway-God love them and help them.
More info later.

Why did Matt spend $2,000 to spend 5 minutes with the folks down in Baton Rouge---you got to be a complete dumb-ass. Craig, you need to get your head out of your ass and do better than 4% market share. They are going to come get you boy.

Mike,
Perhaps you could serve the Governer's Health Care Consortium these days to help clean up misuse within the healthcare system. It would be a big job with endless responsibilities, but you are certainly cut out for it!
......Even you know that I was just joking. We are really taxing your talents when we try to utilize you in a healthcare setting. History proved that. However, you may ask the governer if you could get some temp work, sucking toxic farts out of his car seat. This would give 'healthcare' resume filler for 'time spent away from the workforce'.

"sucking toxic farts out of his car seat. This would give 'healthcare' resume filler for 'time spent away from the workforce'."
I think the job is already taken! Isn't that the "better job" K Reed left Alpharma for? He is an expert at it! Must have been an easy hire for the Gov. Learned it from the master "Fart Sniffers" JP, MS, CL!
I heard Kev even picked up MS's primary skill of sniffing girls bicycle seats! That ought to serve him well!

Hey JP and Craig:
Here is the data from Louisiana Medicaid...........
Your idea of going out in the country side and out of the city aint workin dude, here is the lastest data on Kadian scripts written.
Michelle, you better get your ass in gear. JP you are the worst piss poor leader I ever had in corporate America. You see again Kadian management was too late and had their head up their ass and whenever they asked for imput from reps who know what the hell is going on, well the reps did not give any information because of people like Rocca jumping on their ass.

There is no way in hell you can blame anybody but yourself for the total scripts written on state medicaid. Do you realize there are some states where Kadian isn't even on Medicaid? What a shame! Get off of CP and get in the field and sell. The low script count has nothing to do with CL or JP. It has to do with the piss poor rep in the territory.

Mike left and Michelle Dempsey told his place----Is she in the field selling????? JP gave advise on how to get the Medicaid business stupid and I listened to his stupid idea back about 10 months ago----he is a fruitcake. He has no clue how to lead even a dog.

We know that the Village Idiot left. Where did he go. Did he find a new village? I heard that he interviewed with many companies, but no takers. I met him once at a pharma function. I remember thinking: AH.., Shreveport! That makes sense". But then I went through there a short time later. There were fewer road side wrecks and people staring into space than I imagined. Then I thought to myself: "There's something else going on there. Something at the chromosome level".
Then I remembered hearing something about the Lousiana Healthcare Consortium, and how the governer lured people in to an experimental "healthcare" study by asking them to serve on their "board".
The program was short lived after some of the participants started acting like fire engines. I kinda feel bad for the guy. Damn sneaky government.

Why would hr do that. I remember the numbers and ML was a star the year before and middle of the pack the next year when he left. I do remember Marvin at the National meeting and the way some of the more tenured reps were treated by Ron , Mike and Craig. There was not a performance issue. These guy felt threatend, not just by Mike but anyone over say 32 years of age!
Let's face it, our managers want young people with vey little life experience, we don't want our managers to look foolish... even when they are. The young are cheaper, less experienced and less likely to ask questions about ideas that do not make sense. They hire young people as they are the only ones with less leadership ablilty (for the time being) than the DM's and RM's.
In all, this company's managment is threatened by experienced reps that call "bullshit" on managements ignorant decisions and less than ethical behavior.
So please don't pick on Mike. He has some legitimate gripes with management. If you do not realize that by now, you either one of the managers or are have not had the pleasure for working here.

Whoever wrote this knows CL and his 'Team'. It is defintiely not performance issues. CL framed someone who had terrific numbers but more managment experience than him -{with another company}. He made sure that this rep was gone before the Cal meeting so that Dean Mitchell would not be able to talk to the rep. How pathetic. Above poster --you must be a DM that sees CL in action because you've got that right. The only thing that Al mangmt cares about is making themselves look good which is a hard thing to do

It again one day soon will all come falling down. When your manager comes to you and states, "Hey its time for your career ideas and where you want to be in 2-3 years". This is crazy.
Again has there ever been a time when a manager knew that the rep was right and management was wrong when that manager had the guts to stand up for his team-----Never at Alpharma.
HR was caught in their own cover-up as I presented it just as it happened. Regina, Craig, JP, Tom, Mr. Rose[VP], does not give a hoot about your family, career, cat, dog, or anything else. The National Meeting occurance proved just that.
People get your resumes out and get something else going in the workplace. I promise you there in a better world out here. Life is great.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but there are people within Alpharma that actually like working here. This company is not for everyone, but the pay is good and the drug is excellent. It's up to yourself to make of it what you can. Plus, in the 2+ years I have been here, people have been saying "Alphama is a sinking ship," or "bad things are going to happen soon". It hasn't happened yet and it's not going to happen. So all of you people that were forced out or were fired, please move on. Nobody wants to hear your bullshit stories any longer.

Thanks for the great counter on the negatives! You sound just like my RM! The only trouble is my RM has lied so many times, only very new reps will believe a word he says. He needs constant turnover to keep his credibility.
As far as the pay being good? you have got to be kidding!
Bad things have happened every month! If you have been here two years as a rep and actually think this is going well, you must be one of CL's hand picked blunderboys or a complete fuckingidiot.
So what is so good? Since you like it so much you should convince the 90% of us who have differing opinions. On new products..... oh yeah "pexeva"! and the promises of something new. The only thing is, we have had nothing new. Only price increases on a 10 year old patent protected delivery system and unkept promises.
Please tell us one promise that has actually been kept by CL?
As for Mr. Mitchell, he will take care of himself first, major stockholders second and take a shit on CL, the RM's and the rest of us.
I would like to be more positive and actually give a shit about the company. It is very hard, given the track record.

I can understand your frustration about your pay if you have been here awhile. When the company expanded, the majority of us were brought in making more than we were making at our previous company, so the pay is better. Plus the new reps are probably making more than the majority of the tenured reps so that's got to sting a little for you guys. You also mentioned the price increases are the only thing attributing to our sales growth. What does that say about the sales reps? You can't blame that on anybody but the reps. We were hired to increase sales, and if we don't, then we don't deserve anything from upper management. This company is going through growing pains, so there will be some issues. But they are trying to do the right thing when it comes to getting a new product and our bonuses. When they realized Pexeva was a dog, they ended the co-promote. When they realized the YTD component of the bonus plan might screw over some people, they changed it. And if you've been with the company for a few years and things aren't going so well, you can always find another company. Maybe big pharma is what you need. Some people can't handle being the only person in a territory. At least if you were in a pod, you will have more people to blame for your underperformance.

Guys hate to break it to you but unless you are a pediatric drug you all should have lost about 50-60% of your sales when they switched the dual eligibles to PART D plans, January 2006. The numbers posted and decreases look about right for every state. Get your facts straight if you are going to talk about Medicaid.

Wrong, Medicaid due to the poor economy is the fastest growing segment in the industry (this are not duals) since March of this year, renewed interest from pharma, hence about 80 people in the room, times change fast, pick up an industry rag since 2 years ago and read it. Flushed a big state for a year.

Where is "Rocky Top"----the biggest idiot in the world. I think he was from Tennessee. I mean this guy had no clue what the hell he was doing except blowing money and coming to Louisiana eating our good food.
His name was Matt something. Someone told me he lifted weights until 10:00 AM and then went to work.
Another Alpharma screw-up.
