Some people post here because they feel that someone from corporate might actually read it and take the feedback to someone that can do something about it vs just telling your local DSM who doesn't pass the info on. Alos, sadly enough, many physicians check this site out. That is how I found out about it. So they see our problems. I wish people would write more intelligently and knock it off with the swearing. Grow up.

If the OP thought that his/her post was the most effective way to communicate concerns with corporate then the OP some serious social issues not to mention a loose grip on reality.

Like the previous post ...if you think this is a good source of communication to the senior level then I would be very afraid to be your cylinder mate. I can't imagine what you think is a good way to communicatre with your docs. Cry somewhere else.

Sounds about right to me. AZ is a miserable company and a miserable place to be. If it's spelled right, and smells right, and it sounds right ...than it must be right...and AZ is miserable...and even Webster's agrees!

OP here,
Whenever the AZ apologists attack back at somebody (or in this case me), it's obvious a nerve has been struck with them. Ha ha ha. Like apparently my "MISERABLE" thread has done so.
To the person who claims they wouldn't want to be my cylinder mate - I've heard from 3 other PSS's in my district that are updating their resume's. Obviously, it's only a matter of time for me to leave this insane place. A fourth PSS told me they would too, but they are too close to retirement.
We have several openings in my district - and My DSM has solicited me 3 different times for candidates (b/c he's tired of interviewing people w/o any pharma experience). Anybody with Pharma experience and 1/2 a brain knows to stay clear of this hell-hole.
Touchstone, trimester bonus pay-outs, no X-mas holidays off, studying new products on own personal time, minimal sales contests, no free-time at POA meetings, career ladder movement virtually unattainable, etc.... make this place way behind the pharma curve.
Again....AZ....your reps are miserable....and its obvious you don't care....get ready for a mass exodus due the straw that broke the camel's back (aka Touchstone). You've lost me, AZ, with your lack of vision. How many others will you lose? Or, is that the point instead of laying-off in order to look good?

I left because of the above. Not miserable but there are greener pastures.

I wonder how you communicate with your physicians? Hopefully, not with such a derogatory attitude.
I can tell you that, based on first-hand knowledge, corporate does indeed look at Cafe Pharma. Human Resources also keeps an eye on it. In fact, there are Presidents and CEOs who have been known to pay a visit to and post on this website. In fact, I know a Vice President who thinks any employee who posts on Cafe Pharma should be fired.
And, if there were support from the higher-ups, and if they could find out who we are, that's exactly what would happen.
Call it a realignment or something else equally euphemistic.
Just call me...

F-U my poor dead AZ-clone. You know a VP who thinks any visitor to CP should be fired...I suspect that you probably think that the reps should first be tortured and than executed. You are what's wrong with AZ, and the reason that this thread is entitled "miserable".
A very wise senior rep at AZ once told me. "It's not how early you show up for work, it's the results of your work that is the only thing that really matters." I suspect that I could produce a lot more results in a normal day than a clone like you could do in a week...with you starting at 5:00 AM.

Maybe it is not just your communication skills that are lacking, in addition, it's your management skills that could also be your problem. It all stregthens the point I was making with your communication skills, you need to take care of what you can control and stop crying about what upper management should be doing. Until you start understanding this you will be miserable. No matter what company you work for.

Fired for posting on CP huh? As long as you don't threaten anyone, give a confidential information etc. CP is protected as free speech. The ACLU would love to get a hold of a case where someone was fired from posting on CP, on their own personal computer, on their on personal time. Instead of worrying about who posts what on here, HR/MGT. needs to try and correct the reasons WHY PEOPLE POST ON HERE!

Either that or people need to realize that the rantings on this board have no effect on the decisions made by upper management. Multi billion dollar companies are not run based on the complaints of anonomys people on a website.
