Who is the distributor for TN? I have a friend that works for Plus. He made a move from Stryker. He brought all of his docs with him and he is making about 50k more per year with Plus....they are paying more commission. Plus is very aggressive in the commission area. I would definitely leave S & N for a chance to work for Plus.

Plus doesn't post positions on their website. Is it all through distributors too? What is this company like? Are products up to date?

Yes, all sales is through Distributor Agents. I have been with Plus Orthopedics for 5 years. I left Stryker after 6 years in a good territory on the East coast. I have a very nice territory now(Denver area), I usually average 18 cases per week. When I left Stryker, Plus had a VERY up to date product portfolio that would rival any of the top ortho companies, and we still do. Most of our products have been used in Europe for the last 30 years. We are making a great name for ourselves. All of the docs that I have converted from Stryker, Zimmer, Smith & Nephew and Biomet have really loved our products. Hope that answered your question.

Plus sounds like the place to be! Does anyone know if there are any openings in Illinois (specifically, central Illinois)?
Thanks!

I have ortho experience within pharma. I also have several years of B2B experience. Really interested in central Illinois openings with Plus.

Been following Plus for years and have always been very intrigued with their offerings. Have been successfully involved in orthopedics for 15years in the New England area (mostly Boston). I am well aware of what it takes to play successfully in this very competitive marketplace and would be interested in any contacts you may have as to who is driving the show here. My non-compete is about to expire & I would love to get out & capitalize on my long-term relationships. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

got a call from a recruiter in the Houston area, for Gulf Coast Medical which is a distributor for orthopedic/surgery equip. Said they will start off with a guarantee then move to comission only. aslo, how do I find out if plus is the distributor?
My questions are, is this type of pay structure normal? and would this be a good opportunity to get into med sales?
please forgive my ignorance, I am new to this area, I am coming from pharma, so I don't want to pass up the opportunity if it leads to big money. The recruiter said it is a friend of his that owns the company.

Don't bother, S&N just acquired PLUS. don't know what this means for each company, could be good, could be bad! They will most likely rock in the recon area now!

It might help s&n in the european market but its not going to make a huge difference in the states. Just like Zimmer and the Sulzer deal.
