If you have a group, song etc. that is outstanding but obscure or relatively unknown...share it:

I offer up a group from Austin called "EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY". If you ever get a chance to see them live SEE THEM!!!
If not...I guess you would have to listen to samples on Amazon.com or something. This is largely instrumental incredible music that defies description.

Wrong bucko. If anyone is ever in Austin they must do everything possible to see Bruce Robison and his wife Kelly Willis. It is Americana type music but it is so smooth you'll dink it like good whiskey. If his wife sings you will melt right there. If you can only hear one of his CDs I guess listen to Country Sunshine. This is for people that like a little storyline with their music.

Wayne Mills Band playing around the southeast. They play a lot of southern rock and country. And they have a kick-ass show live. If you have the opportunity to see them, it's worth it!

Morphine was an amazing group that never got enough attention before the lead singer died on stage during a show. Three piece group, 3 string slide bass, drums and sax - the only way I can describe their music is to say that it all belongs on Quentin Tarantino soundtracks. The sax guy could play 2 of em' at once. They were the best live show I've ever seen, I really miss them a lot.

There was a great band from Norfolk/Virginia Beach called Waxing Poetics in the late 80s through mid 90s. Fantastic live band. Never really made it due to bad management, they put out about 4 albums though and had a couple of videos on MTV for a while.

Use to say that about Dave Matthews, now they're huge. We used to go see him all through college in the early 90s at local dive bars in Richmond, C'ville, and Norfolk for $3 cover. Members of the band used to come back to our place and do bong hits after the show. Got some great pictures partying with those guys in my own living room! Pretty cool...

The Cunts put on a great live show. At the end of the concert, they squirt all over the audience. Unbeleivable!
You people are Losers!

Why can't you let some people discuss something without bringing your perversion into it? Please go to another topic and entertain yourself there.

Back in the mid 90's in the Northeast, a cover band called LOVE SEED MAMA JUMP

They were awesome. And their original songs, like "She Likes 'the Dead'", were great, too.

The Gash is a good band. Try listening to The Cum. Their style is the same as The Cunts.

yep, an Explosions in the Sky concert is a religious experience. The whole audience was in a trance. I never saw anything like it. They call it 'post rock' for whatever thats worth. I just call it Rock that you cannot ever forget.

XM sucks. They have commercials on their music stations. Sirius doesn't. Plus Sirius has Stern.

I do miss the old "Austin City Limits" show on PBS.

:(
I heart XM.

They actually don't play commercials on like 95% of the stations. I like XM 75 and XM 54 and they don't play commercials.

Med, our first disagreement. We will get through this. Our love is too strong not to. Besides, when the two merge, all of the stations will have commercials.

Jack Johnson is AMAZING in concert. One of the best song writers around these days.
