I have been following the postings in here and decided that it was time for everyone who is complaining to grow up. This is a sales job. A true sales job. It is not pharma sales where you can hide within a pod and blame your co-workers for your lack of performance. This company expects results and as sales people we are expected to deliver those results. If this job doesn't suit you, move on. My goals are as high as all other CSC's, and I spend my time in my accounts trying to reach my goals.

The company expects results?? What was YOUR goal attainment for January?? Is it "Meeting Expectations"??

You are missing the point: Complaining about unreachable goals may make us look like whiners, but not listening to your sales people is not a smart move by management.

Remember Sales 101 from another thread?? Here is more from that course:

When you set goals, they have to be:

1. Realistic
2. Attainable
3. Measurable
4. Over a certain period of time.

Our goals are too high. If you think that is whining, than that is your opinion. But unless you are one of the few people who are over 100% (or even 60% for that matter), then you should be able to tell the difference between "whining" and "voicing concerns".

Best thing to do is send Michael and Denny an email stating that the quotas are screwed up and should be changed!

As the poster said, if you feel your goals are too high nobody is forcing you to work here. I am ranked in the bottom half of the company, and could make excuses about my goals being too high. But the goals are what the goals are, and everyone should deal with them.

It's not a CSC, it's management.

If you want to accept it, that's fine. But I am bit higher in the rankings, and I am still not making money. That is not right.

I agree nobody is forcing me to work here. I have turned away numerous offers from other Reps for openings because I believe in the test, but if management is not going to listen to us, then I don't think I am going to be around much longer.

That is neither a threat nor a whine, but is simply the truth. And it's a shame, because I really enjoy what I do, but I still have to pay the bills.

I agree. I have never been one to whine and complain about sales goals in general, but the goals set here are NOT REALISTIC AT ALL. I'm not sure where they come up with these numbers. I have great relationship with my docs and they order the test quite a bit but it's just not enough and it will never be. I am an optimistic person in nature but this place has become a joke. I will have to look for another job and I have been here less than a year. My buddy who I was in training with is also looking to leave. Unless they change quota, I think the new people will leave as well.

The only reason I have not left yet is because it does not look good when you dont stay at a job for too long. What phadia is doing is playing with peoples career cause they promise alot and dont come through. There is no loyalty to reps here.

This company has the worst employee/management relations I've ever seen, and I've worked for good companies. Not what I signed on for.

Yeah. I'm sure management would love to know who the "whiners" are.

Michael and Dennie don't need an e-mail. They read these boards.

The truth is this place sucks, management sucks, the product does not sell, and I'm leaving soon.

The product sells, just not at the rate that is demanded. If you look at the increase is sales over the last five years, it is very impressive. But that is still not enough.

I will say this again: I really do like this place, and I love selling the test, but the goals are just too much. There are great people here, but some of them who have the power need to take care of the goals. I am not whining, just "consulting".

I sincerely hope this is adjusted in the next couple months so I can stay here a long time. Otherwise, I am not sure.
