why would you take a job here? It sucks. Company the worst ever. Not even a real "device" company. (Look where it is listed here), so it is not ran like a "device" company. My advice: get on your knees, order some kool-aid, buy some KY jelly. You will need it all to survive at this cult. It really blows.

There are some really good managers, ER, TP, JR, CS, and that list could go on. The company has a postive outlook with Hologic and I look forward to what the future holds.

I can't wait to leave. It's going to be so funny watching those koo-aid drinking cocksuckers lose their job after the acquisition, and then be caught with nothing but their dick in one hand and a sales-aid in the other.. What the fuck are they going to say in their interviews--that they are great at entering calls, e-mailing "sucess stories", and having "ride alongs" with their manager every other week. Man, they are fucked.

Lots of bad very negative managers. Some of the newer ones, especially, are alienating their people by their actions and negative management style. There will be a mass exodus. I have already left the company after having one of these new managers for a very short period of time.
I hope that Hologics sees their incompetencies and gets rid of them or demotes them down to where they will be treated as they currently treat their own.
A recruiter told me that they have a lot of resumes from Cytyc people. Those that are left are just dreaming that things will improve or just haven't found a new job yet. The initials given above are some of the worst managers ever. I am sure one of them wrote this email.
I have close friends in the midwest and on the east coast and I cannot believe the horror stories that I hear about their management.
Hologics should hear about this and demote the whole crew.
Never take a job with this company. You will be very sorry.

You are so right. I worked for one of those managers listed above as good managers and I left the cytyc hell hole. One of them had to have written that as that whole crew is so full of themselves and they are pieces of useless shit. I have heard from a friend inside the company that all but one of the managers listed above will be shit canned after the sale. I also heard that one or more of them just "might" have things in their HR folders from previous reps' exit interviews. Good managers. Yeh right. What are you smoking.

Interviewed w/ Cytyc recently - I could sense the turmoil. The manager asked weird questions - many ?'s about the type of manager I want to work for, and let negativities about company slip out.
Lots of micromanaging and no clear sense of future direction. Too bad - your product line is great! With Hologic, your credibility in women's healthcare will only increase.

Rumor has it that some of the people that they wanted to get rid of are now managers-easier to lead them out the door, particularly when their management style provokes complaints to corporate. There is the evidence and documentation that they need. Some of the ones listed above are subjects of complaints too, from what I have heard. I know of two of them that caused people to leave and the reps told HR plenty. Hold tight for a ride of your life :-)

Lower management echoes the idiots in upper management and these new ones care very little about their reps. They only want to make themselves look good.
I think we all know upper management is bad but why do they promote some of the most ignorant people. Take a look around and see the turnover. Reps can put up with most anything when they have good and supportive management rather than managers always complaining about what you did not do or did not accomplish. Curious-does anyone really like their manager? Are there really any good ones who actually help their reps?

You may find this hard to believe, but I have already blown out my quota so forget the not performing crap. BUT I receive, as do others in my area, the emails and conference calls saying that no one is any good, nothing is done on time, no report is done correctly and on and on. This is good management style? I am hoping the managers that thrive on getting their fun from being mean find that they are out on their ear after the merger. I would be more worried for my job if I were higher management.

Make quota? As if! The quota is so far out of reach you would need the space shuttle to get there. Sure the percentages in comp plan are great over plan but getting there is near impossible. The upshot is Cytyc does not have to pay any over quota commission and they can blame the reps when they complain about not making money. Remember Cytyc is a growth company.
Hey jugheads all companies are growth companies. If I hear that again I am going to shoot myself. What a joke.

Why would you think Managers could get "canned" with the impending "merger/buyout?" People are so cavalier and reckless with their statements on Cafe Pharma - don't forget, most people have families to support, mortgages to pay, etc. - I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone speculating whether your position is up for dismissal or not!

are you the person that keeps posting how bad cytyc sucks on this board? why haven't you left yet? you are a very angry person that obviously doesn't like your job. are you still here because cytyc screwed up and hired you, a shitty sales rep, and you can't find another company to make the same mistake? I know many companies that are looking for whiny, arrogant, underperformers who have never been successful. Wal-mart, k-mart, mcdonalds...
If you don't like how you are being treated, and can't get another job- try looking in the mirror, fixing your attitude, and making this one work.

Rather than just name the good and bad managers, what makes them good or bad? I myself have a really incompetent fool for a manager who I hope they dump but I would like to hear what others say.

I recently interviewed with this company. Man, this was a very odd interview. Probably the weirdest vibe I had since I saw my Mom naked in the third grade. It felt like I was talking to a couple of zombies. Have fun with that, back to Real Device Sales.

can someone comment on the good/bad managers in the mammosite division? there isn't a lot of info for that division which potentially could be a good thing since most of this board is full of negative stuff. insightful answers are appreciated.
