Come on guys, what do you think? This man has taken a safe drug and mashed it into the ground at every opportunity. Crestor is prominently displayed on his website as a dangerous drug. He keeps talking about all the problems with it.
Why doesn't AZ sue this SOB into 2010? They need to tell him to basically "put up or shut up"! Even if they don't sue, challenge the bastard! Do we think there is a reason why not?

Good point. From launch reps have asked that question. From launch physicians have said that he should be stopped or he will take the drug down. This has been communicated to managers at the RSD level by the reps. What reps know from the field and report to managers seems to get lost--our thoughts are truly regarded as flotsam by SSLT leaders--or that has been the approach from the launch of this drug. I thought it so amusing that management showed the "think tank" rep groups that advised management--I think it was primarily on the CVA--which has been excellent. I just wish they would listen to the reps and understand that there will be bitchers that they have to wade through to get to the substance--just like cafe pharma, for that matter. Also, don't have DSMs pick their pets who have hidden agendas to represent all reps--some of these guys are such mouthpieces it literally make me gag to hear and see them posture themselves around the RSDs, etc. And the sad thing is these guys are the ones who get promoted. Come to think of it, these are also some of the ones who got displaced. But then mgmt just turned around and put them in the field in reps positions that should have gone to current reps who are trying to work their way up the career ladder. Such a joke for them to see these losers who were DSMs get the plum speciality jobs they should have gotten. I don't know why they just didn't fire these guys outright. But thats another thread.

Above poster, sounds like you have more issues than just Crestor and Dr. Wolf! I am with the OP. Enough is enough. You can only take so much before the doctors start revolting just because they don't want the hassles. They say that Crestor is safe and of course they like the results but if they have to deal with every patient they rx'd for every 2 months, they will eventually give up. I had one tell me she hasn't ever seen this before.
I am curious about why oh why AZ will not squash this man. Like the OP said, put up or shut up. AZ won't do it and I don't know why (other than the Michael Hickey and his boyfriend thing http://www.cafepharma.com/ubbthreads/images//graemlins/grin.gif)

Now, if this isn't true, why is he still allowed to post it on his non-profit website?
I believe in the first ammendment, but you aren't protected if it is a lie.

[/ QUOTE ] There is a reason why AS hasn't sued Sidney Wolfe. Heard it from an insider. If AZ sued Wolfe, all AZ internal documents and unpublished trials would become part of the suit and brought out in the open. AZ doesn't want the exposure. Now ask yourself, why?

Has anyone ever seen a biography of dear Sidney? Is there a curriculum vitae posted anywhere?

The real deal with AZ and Sidney Wolf is that Wolf hates AZ...well, no surprise there! So do A LOT of other people, and with plenty of good reasons for it!

Yes, junior, please do find mommy (and daddy) right away and they'll agree too, because you are indeed victims, the victims of incompetent, incapable, delusional and down right stupid "leaders" and of an overall failure company!

He (she) is what AZ has become...a bunch of pathetic losers, from a pathetically losing company. And that is exactly why I left and found a much better place to be...and so can anyone else who has the fortitude to do it. That attitude of "security" that that pervades the sales force is the same things that keeps the winners amongst the vast numbers of losers that inhabit the sales force. It's worth anything to get out of that crap house, and in almost any situation, if you have the ability, you're going to do better somewhere else; finacially and certainly mentally.
