Remember Mark Varney? Of course, we all do. He' the guy who took over Pharm/Discovery. Wald and Corrigan were quite enamored by him. Maybe instead of hiring him, they should have just gotten a room with him. I'd heard from some of the pharmacology folks who are no longer here who interviewed him, that no where on his CV could they see he had ever delivered a drug to an IND. Under his tenure here, the good work done by the previous team was hammered to the ground and totally discredited. How did he do it? He brought in all those highly talented folks who had total cumulative experience of less than 10 years and who also had never developed a drug to an IND. LOL. Remember he went to Cortex? When he arrived at Cortex, their stock was around $3. Today it is at 0.50 cents. Why? Looks like his dumb ass couldn't generate a study to get around some FDA concerns. Congratulations, Varney, wherever you are. You've done it again! Your ineptitude and stupidity has damaged another company. ROFLMAO!!
