I know carbo well. I can tell you that the products are exceptional, tissue and mechanical valves. Problem is we have senior management issues; they came from outside cardiac surgery. Comp program advertises 220 but in reality it is 1/2 of that if you are lucky We have no marketing and are losing ground to the big companies who have marketing abilities. It is ashame, but true.

If you really need a job and to pay the bills come on; otherwise caveat emptor!

actually carbo used to make virtually all mechanical valves on the market, then went into business themselves. Very good mechanical and better tissue valve, at least for the indications it is used for. Better than the other tissue on the market in the US.

The problem carbo had was the sister ortho company that went through the billion dollar lawsuit, sulzer sold everything off including carbo to pay for it. Sorin is company that drove carbo into the ground....and will continue to do so until it is out of business.

Any updates on this selling for Carbomedics? Possible opening in the Northeast. I already read the bad shit and I believe it however I just want to know the expected base salary, any guarantees and if customers are currently using the products?

Thank you for your mature honest replies.

Every company has the potential to do well with the right mix of products and Sorin HV is on the brink of something great with Mitroflow. This product is far superior to any tissue valve on the market and will continue to gain share from the big three over the coming years. Additionally, the company provides a full compliment of products that offer the surgeon options on a day-to-day basis. Management issue or not...the product line is impressive and will only get better!
