HQ Move??

I am a former employee and out of curiosity, checked out the Octa website the other day. I noticed that the HQ has moved to NJ. When did this happen? Is there a reason behind it? Is FN working directly with the sales team now or does he have another go between?

Before anyone says anything, I realize I'm being nosey! I have gratefully been out of the loop for quite awhile and would like my fill of the latest Octa gossip!

About the new HQ, I would like to hear the gossip about the new marketing person. Why would they bring a secretary from europe to be the marketing manager? Is there NO ONE in the US who has more experience than her? She was a meeting planner, nothing more. so tell us, what does she do for the boss that no one else in the US can do?

To answer the OPs questions, the new office opened in Feb because FN wanted to live in NYC. He no longer works with the sales force, they hired a Pfizer guy to be the new NSM last year. Everyone is talking about leaving due to micromgt. Do you miss it here?

How ridiculous that they moved the HQ because FN wanted to live in NYC. That goes to show how ridiculously the company is managed!

I gather from the marketing manager comment that Judi is gone or did they just add another position?

New position. Weird choice though, she has no background in marketing. Remember they were going to search for "highly qualified" people, and that's why field staff couldn't apply for corp positions? Looks like any of the field staff would be more qualified than this one.

I was told by a German friend that the person who wrote the German entry is clearly NOT German. There are WAY too many grammar mistakes for the person to have German as their native tongue. Don't read too much into it!!

hey there,

i used to work in clinical operations and i can pretty much say that there are NO current studies with octapharma. how do i know? i stay in contact with all of my sites and study coordinators and it is true that the uniplas study was terminated by the fda and wolfgang frenzel and friedrich kursten were not too happy. the current octaplex study that is in the works will be another difficult study and will most likely to fail as well. are you kidding? they are trying to enroll approx. 164 patients undergoing invasive procedures or urgent surgery. good luck with finding investigators and academic institutions that are willing to comply with the complex protocol. i don't know robin scully as i did not work under her but she is not well liked in the industry.

the wilate study will probably not be approved by the fda. the fda will likely require octapharma to run a larger phase 3 study comparing wilate to humate-p, which will take another 3+ years to complete.

all the people who worked in clinical at octapharma: mary claire, danielle, lisa, chris, hadley have all moved on to other pharma or biotech companies and doing very well.

Anytime you leave a Financial guy in charge of a sales force your fucked!! Ironically if they don't sell he gets shit for a salary as well... Granted it is pretty easy to sell IVIG if you have it in stock... Reporting problems are just ways for companies once again to fuck the sales force over, happens everywhere!! So is Judy now a Doctor.... LOL !!
