I would not consider MG...an aging population. If you are a doubting Thomas, sit back and watch! The best is yet to come....

Why are they hiring if they dont have any products yet? Or do they have a product now, and if so what type of comp are they paying?

What is their time-line to hiring this field force? (2 months/12 months?)
Anonymous

It is my understanding they will be in the field in less than 2 months

I also applied for a position in one of the available cities, and this morning the HR dept. called to touch base. I was really impressed with the little information that could be shared--in all, the company is moving thru the start-up equation as expediently as possible--if I'm understanding correctly, interviews for TR's should start after the area/division management has been organized..

Anyone heard about total compensation/benefits for part time reps? Managers?

A bunch of flunkies from King leading the company and no products. Ask the King folks what happens when you have one product and no pipeline....lay offs.
Empty promises and a whole lot of hype.................prediction: Company folds in two years.

Didn't King to well with its one product. What was the name.....oh yeah...ALTACE! The ACEi that out sold ARB's while the market was flooded with generic ACEi. In who's business school were they flunkies? and where do I enroll?

I had a phone interview 8 weeks ago and have not heard back. Is this a bad sign?
I thought I might have given a bad phone # then realized that she called me for the interview. More likely, lost the #.
Man, I need a job. I've been out of work 4 months. Could one of you call HR and tell them about me. My name Hugh Jorgan.

Has anyone been officially hired in sales. I put my resume in, have good experience, and have heard nothing??? ARe they looking for 22yr old with no experience to pay them $40G's or experienced reps to drive their business? Anyone know???
Anonymous
05-23-2008, 08:42 AM
I heard the pay ranges form 27k to 47k. And is more like flex time, than full time.
Anonymous
05-23-2008, 11:38 PM
That is kind of odd. What kind of reps do they think they are going to get like that? I dont know though, maybe there are good reps out there who for one reason or another want/need to work flex time. Still seems odd.

06-11-2008, 03:02 PM
I interviewed today with them and the pay range is anywhere from 55-65k, depending on experience, of course. Co car and great bennies...I like what i heard
Anonymous
06-11-2008, 04:51 PM
I don't think I buy what you are saying...From what I learned, the positions are flex and the pay is as such. No where near 55K. Benefits, yes and great ideas but no company car. Did they give an approx. start date?

i dont buy what that person is saying about base being 55k-65k either. maybe they interviewed for a territory that for some reason in full time instead of flex time. still dont know what to think about this deal? how long can they have one person covering a major city as flex time before they turn in into full time? where is the money going to come from? No car is one thing, but what about an acceptable car allowance and gas? 55 cents a mile is not going to cut it!

Dan McCall was my trainer at King, and I thought the world of him. I truly enjoyed the great ride selling Altace. I left King only to go into medical sales. If this company is anywhere near as good as King was in the beginning, then hold on tight, it's going to be a blast. Good luck, you'll have fun and I am sure you will make good money. And for those of you sales reps who want to eventually become managers, a situation like this is a "golden" opportunity to climb the ladder. Just work hard, turn in your paperwork "ontime" and you will be rewarded.

Come on... Dan McCall is a douche. A TOTAL DOUCHE! Flunkies from Monarch, that is exactly right. They weren't responsible for the Altace boom. That was a screw-up from Wyeth or the pharm co in Kansas or who ever sold it to them. Heads rolled there, but Monarch getting credit???? It was LUCK! I remember rolling over in bed about 9-10am and answering my phone and it was Dan McCall calling. That was his job at Monarch and that was my job with Monarch! Ah!!! those were the good ole days. I ran the company car out of oil COMPLETELY and started with another company while still getting paid by Monarch....Dan just kept calling!!!!! TARD!

Wow! You are about the dumbest person I have had the opportunity to humiliate in a very long time. It is almost as bad as asking a women if she is pregnant and she is not. You are a total bafooooon. A screw up from Wyeth? Heads rolled? The only "head rolling" in your world was the tiny one that you were holding in your hand and pulling on it while thinking of your sister in the shower. Beat it

Ok, so it has literally been over a month since anyone has posted on this site. I continue to check and see if there is any updated information. Does anyone have any insight as to what is happening with this company? It all sounded so good in the beginning, and there is something to be said about timing for new companies, but come on...

I just accepted an offer from Avidas. I see many on this site have been confused as to compensation expectation and time period to start. I am not surprised to see so much interest in Avidas, because Margie, Dan, and Terry all all top-notched, extra-ordinary professionals that anyone would be honored to work with! (I certainly am!)
For those that do not understand start-ups, it's important to know note that any reputable start up company will do market research, product analysis, and lots of recruitment which does take time. I know that can be frustrating, but patience is critical in this field. I can assure you that there is a very exciting product and lucrative compensation package. I am sure that if any of you are qualified candidates, you have already been contacted by now, as the initial sales team has already been selected.
And for the individual who has used this message board to insult Avidas management team, I would advise you to spend less time on message boards and get yourself a job with a company that hires douch bags, not run by them.

I couldn't agree more about the management and the products. However, a straight commission paycheck just doesn't work for all people or families. I hope to be contacted or contact them again when salaries are offered.

I just accepted a position with Avidas as well. Start training next week in PA. Will be interesting. Nice intro product for skin care and will see as the products start to fall down the pipeline. They need reps with current contacts to hit the ground running.

can you tell me more about the interview process, and who contacted you. I recieved an initial email with afew questions but nothing else. I myself have 6 years solid derm experience and contacts. Do you know if they are hiring by region or if your training class is the only one? Are all positions filled? How long was the process from initial phone call to offer. Thank you for any insight....

So whats the deal with this company? I had a long phone interview but haven't heard back despite following up several times.
How are the products being received? Are they even being written? Any opinions about commission / salary?
Would appreciate serious answers, thanks.

A few of the original reps were hired and moved to salary and bene's a couple months in. You start straight commission, no car, no bene's. I know this because my wife interviewed and laughed at the offer after she got it. Joke of a company, won't go anywhere.

only one original rep is paid a salary and that is KB. no one can sell this stuff . product line includes "me too" skin care line and old rx products repackaged and priced very high with no insurance coverage.most employees quit after a few months.

Altace success had NOTHING to do with DM!
