Former laid off King rep here. Laid off in last years raping. Found another job immediately, because I distanced myself from King by putting Ligand on my resume. I suggest those of you who can do the same - you'll get an interview that way. You will not with King on your resume.

If the sales force really was a factor, most of the better managers and reps would have been kept during the last downsizing. With products that are 40 years old, and me too morphine are your services really required? No your just sample dropping and reminding. So your position will be filled with real flex time reps. If you left the company today would your share drop? Who will be next?

I don't think it will be 75%. It will probably be closer to 50% ( 75% of which will be "K2") 25% of the "K1" under-achievers will be let go and the remaining 25% of "K2" will be kept. King than becomes a Speciality Company

Management is too "smart" to cut any further. Buy-out is around the corner. After a few months following the buy-out a re-alignment may take place.
No Poa, cost cutting at the field level , company options to follow... than a month or so and it happens...75% downsized.
