Please don't let it be Grant! If I have to deal with a worthless leader like him, I'm outta here (and so are others). *Note to self TU.

How do you know G is applying? Why would you go try and get a job after you have already been demoted for it once already? As a colleague, I would have to say this would be a travesty if he gets it. This would be the kind of move that would make others leave. Don't do it Tony.

GV wants it so bad he can taste it. Problem is, there is a good reason why he didn't get the job the first time and TU is probably too dumb to remember it.

GV is a completely worthless when it comes to leading sales people, so how would he be good at leading an entire region? Including managers who think he's a d-bag already?
Wake up Tony! You'll make the biggest mistake ever if you do this.

If Tony does read this, which I doubt, he should consider this an open-forum survey that no one internally ever answers honestly (b/c we fear our jobs in management). GV talks more trash about you and this company and would not lead a region at all. The demise of the company comes with a bad, non-motivating and back stabber for a regional leader.

I dont understand why people come here and trash very good people on this forum. Grant does a great job, and has done a great job in every role he has had at actelion. Tony has been and will continue to be a fine leader here.

Thanks Grant for the kind words. But you still don't get the job. Love, Tony.
I keep hearing that a complete "dipshit" from inside (Marketing) might be looking to get this job. My question is this. Don't you have to be a decent leader and understand managing people in a sales environment and not just a ladder climber? If you think GV is a d=bag, then you better hope this guy doesn't get it. You ever heard of a person who is always asking others "how they feel he's doing" about his job? That's called unaware and incompetent.
So to sum all of this up, Tony should just do the job himself, as the well is dry as CT's vag!

GV is not for real is he about this? I've heard a HO person is also vying. I heard it from the person themself and they think they have it in the bag. Wow, what a mistake that could be.

It is not necessary to rip Grant's character because you believe he may not be suited for a position. I am not aware of Grant "backstabbing" his people. Grant is a good person and an asset to Actelion.

Thanks Grant. As you stated in your own comments..."you are not aware of Grant "backstabbing" his people...", exactly why I tell you to keep to yourself. You are not aware! There are many that are and it never comes to light because we are not evaluated to ask (i.e. 360's, Surveys).

Try Marketing.
Overheard this person discussing today in HO. Completely the wrong person for the job and struggles to function at their own current role, let alone managing managers. This would be a TU doozie if he goes down this path.

That's the million dollar question. My DM thinks that TU is dragging his heels for some reason. I think my DM should go for the job, but he's a big puss.

The rumor is that TU is considering smeone from the EBU. It definitely won't be Grant. He sells out TU every chance he gets. He is still pissed he didn't get the BD job the first time. His only supporter is the transvestite SM in HR. She thinks she is the bomb. BTW, she kiss assed her way to the top.

Are you f'ing kidding me? If TU gets an EBU stiff, watch the DM's and RSM's walking out the door. Get this done now with a good leader, not some robot.

Why is it that TU can't get a decent BD hired? If we have good people, get it done. If we don't, get it done outside. That is a dead-end role anyways, so I am sure many people would be willing.

Don't worry, Grant didn't get the job. That's now been shared. Supposedly the search goes on. Here is an idea: Get someone who can motivate and invigorate our DM's, RSM's and reps. I feel that everyone needs a little kick in the ass right now, so someone who can put some energy back into (my manager) others, while holding everyone accountable. Why? Their is some lame ducks sitting around her e right now and we need someone to push some people to either shit or get off the pot. Go find usthat TU.

This is typical of TU. Can't make a decision in time to save people from leaving. No leadership at all at the top. The best idea is to get a replacement for Lou ASAp to help keep people motivated before the holidays. Otherwise, we all go look for other jobs b/c we are bored out of our minds and don't want to call you for an answer - that may never get a response.

What kind of sales rep needs a BD to motivate them??? What a winner of a hire you were.

BTW shit for brains, I am a DM, not a rep. Tony is afraid to hire someone within the company because there isn't anyone qualified. The problem with this company is that we are afraid to find quality people (outside), because they think we might have in change in philosophy or bring in people who are in "big pharma" and change our attitude. Guess what? That's what interviewing is for. Do people align with the company's way of thinking? Yes? Hire them. I've been here for about 5 years and I've known this to be the way. Just find a good leader with similar values and they will mold into ou r culture, not vice versa. Damn this company is retarded sometimes.

There is no reason to worry about becoming big pharma. We ARE big pharma with a small label thanks to Shal.

Boy, I wish I worked for you, "Shit-for-Brains." I still fail to see how a TM, RSM OR DM needs a BD to "motivate" them to get through the last month of the year. The BDs are necessary, but Lou didn't do his job if you all start chasing your tails the minute he leaves. And forgive me if I'm wrong, but at least one high-level position was recently filled from the biggest of pharmas, despite the existence of several qualified contenders from within.

Unlike the filling of that position, there isn't one viable candidate internally that could do the BD job. Why do you think Tony hasn't hired anyone? Shit for brains!

You still can't defend your earlier dumb-ass statement that the region is spinning its wheels in the absence of a BD? Also, your response doesn't explain your other uninformed complaint that the company is "afraid to find quality people (outside), because they think we might have [a] change in philosophy or bring in people who are in "big pharma" and change our attitude." This is clearly belied by recent leadership hires in Training, Marketing, Medical, and the EBU. Cool your heels and, as hard as it may be for you and your lackadaisical team, try to let the handsome bonus you are paid be your motivation until Lou's replacement is found.
