I am keeping my other job until approval, and I would suggest we all stick together and do the same. If we don't get approved we still have our other jobs. It won't be hard to drop off a few samples, while going through the training crap. Plus you can make double salary for awhile. I might just wait until we go away for the training meeting before i quit. Double salary is cool for me.

You have zero integrity. I pride myself on having a lot of integrity. I will be resigning properly, just as should. My integrity will show in my sales numbers. I imagine you will be one of our lowest producers. Enjoy your Thanksgiving, and please think about what I am saying. We are building one of the Greatest Bio-Tech Companies of all time. We should be respectful, and honest. The physicians will recognize this, and help us to achieve greatness. I can't wait for one day to say that I was the original reps hired, as we expand in the future. You should be very thankful to be one of the few chosen for such a prestigious sales position!

If I was hired...turned down the offer too low salary no neg. room. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO. You would be stupid to not do this, even if you have to work during the day at your orig. job and study at night. C'mon people wake up this is the smart thing to do.

Hey there. You seem a little up tight. Why don't you come to my room at the sales meeting and I'll make you feel better. If my wife asks me if I had fun at the meeting I will tell her yes, just to show you that I have integrity too. Are you hot?

Be careful. HR can find this pretty quick based on federal tax info. If you are paying more into the wage tax than just one job, that's a red flag and easy to find out. If your current employer finds out and fires you, you still have the new job at Cypress, but then risk getting laid off if FDA approval is not granted. If it was me, I would stay in the current job and not take the risk. I can't believe how bad this job market is right now. There were almost 4000 applicants just for the mid-west territories.

I agree with you! No wonder companies and employees lack loyalty, respect and trust with one another. As far as I am concern this is the same as stealing from your employer. White collar crime and if a company finds out they can take you to small claims court.
This is as bad as lying on an expense report, I know of 2 reps that were terminated for expense report fraud and later were prosecuted in court to pay back the difference. One had to do community service time.

I am doing the same thing. They can't catcht us, and I wouldn't of gotten this job if I didn't lie about some things. I even gave them a fabricated ranking report. What a bunch of idiots. Pretty stupid move. Cypress HR will be calling the HR at the company you are leaving as soon as you have accepted the position. So I suggest you resign.
Are you all this stupid, normally?

Um newsflash dipshit, usually they call for employment verification and all they can give is dates employed which once again is a third party not HR. So lets say you accept and offer on Mon...they check ref and things you give a 2wk notice...you're still going to be employed by that company when they check ref's regardless of a notice given or not. Not real hard to get around einstein

keep telling yourself that, OK? I don't know of one company who will accept a 2 week notice. 2 days maybe. You're checked out and no longer an employee of the company. If you don't believe me, try using voicemail at your company 2 days after giving your "2 week notice." I've seen it too many times.
Why try to cheat? Be grateful you have a job.

No I think you keep telling yourself that. WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT the new company will only call a 3rd party for emp ver. and ALL THEY CAN GIVE IS dates of employment Ex: 12/2006-12/2008 (say you accept in 12/2008) hmmm you see the loophole?
Not to mention when I left my last Rx company, I could check VM for about 2 months after I was let go...
yes be grateful you will have a job for a month or so before they let your ass go!

I call on Rheums now, so I am going to expense the same lunch I do for both companies until I quit the old company in a few months. My real company can pay for it, and Cypress can give me a little play money. DOn't get me wrong, I will use the money on the docs to buy them some basketball/football tickets since we can't really do that. That will be a great way to help buy them off. I will be a star here with numbers in no time. Sorry I am so smart and thought of this before yoiu guys. What can I say?

Why don't you double dip and go to your local sex shop and shove a dildo in your ass and one
in your mouth and dance the chicken dance at the launch meeting for us! Fucking clown, and if you really were smart you would keep your pie whole shut and just do it! I suspect the people that got passed up for this job are just pissed off, they should take that energy and try to find another job, maybe one more suited for them. I did.

News flash, but you can give anyones number out via there back ground check, they usually don't call your current employer and they usually call the numbers you provide on the verification form, I should know this because I done it before being a DM, it all depends on the company. It usually takes an act of God your #SS number to get the whole story on where a persons been etc.. Half the time they have the wrong dates etc.. it is almost as bad as your finical background checks which are always screwed up. Most of the background is a verification of your driving record and criminal record if there is one.

Many HR depts will call your current employer a few weeks after your start date with the new company. If your current employer says you are still with them, the new company will terminate you. This happened to someone I know.

This is NOT TRUE! They will call your current and past employers to verify all dates. The background company's will send your signature via fax to the companies to get all the information released. I worked my way through college working for a reporting agency and we are very "wise" to this.
The only time we had difficulty was when the company was out of business, we then went back and asked for direct manager's statements, payroll checks, W2, etc., to verify information. We even speak to other people who worked at this companies and share files with other background companies so if you have given different information to other reporting bureaus we will find it out.
I have known people to be declined an offer because they were off by 1 month on their dates. Don't take the chance, have some integrity and character and treat your future employer with respect.

Hi Mgr again,
Why don't you figure out how to lead your sales team instead of writing gay stuff on CafePharma? Any mgr that spends his/her time reading and posting on cafepharma is a loser. Good luck catching me, and thanks for the free checks. I will be the smiling at all the meetings with my head up your ass. You will think I am the best while I bash you on here. I fool everybody son. See ya soon. I cant wait to have a few free drinks with you.
Here's is a hint of who I am.
1. I am a boy or a girl
2. I am 5 ft to 7ft tall
3. I have long short hair

with electronic calls, and your manager working with you for 2 days every 4 weeks, there is no way to pull this off. Why would you want to try and "double dip"? Give someone else the job, there are so many qualified and hard-working people looking for a position. Please tell us you really are not doing this, it would be impossible.

If you are DD'ing, you must have time on the books at your other company. Cypress doesn't offer enough time off to make it worth while to leave your other company-thats for sure,
In fact, it would be nice to have a company survey on what bennie's would be nice to have.

It is possible because I have done it for almost 6 mos now. Is it easy, NO, but possible. Did I get great reviews from my manager, NO. But I did not care either. I am turning in my resignation to Cypress soon due to a promotion with other position. This was the whole reason I did not want to give it up in the first place. Cypress is toxic.

This is a BS post, someone trying to ruffle the feathers.
As a rep, I think this is a terrible unethical way to behave.
And then some of you wonder why management doesn't always trust the salesforce?

Well considering I just saw some posts on here about reps resigning and giving notice, and you are done on that day.. So I say double dip till the figure it out, and with some of these managers they won't because I think some of them are double dipping as well. When my POA is over, I have a couple of final interviews and I will make sure I take my sweet time giving my notice.

when I first read this post 1 year ago, I thought it was disgusting. I consider DDing next to theft or white collar crime.
however, after being employed by Cypress and getting a nice dose of their unfairness - and weak compensation with even weaker DSMs..........I would entertain the thought of DDing! But the thought of leaving this place ASAP appeals to me as well.

whoever said, ever, that you can't have 2 jobs ? if you're performing the duties of both, then go for it if that's how you choose to allocate your time,. What law says you have to do homestudy training during 8-5 biz hours?. Answer: none. do jobe 1 during the day, maybe work a bit faster or whatver yuo need to do.
hell, what if you had another job as a fireman or a teacher at a night school, or a realtor. the ONLy conflict arises if you're selling a competitor product. No problem at all with it..and it's NOT double dipping if it's 2 separe employers. It IS double dipping if you're a sales rep at company A and getting paid for that, and also getting paid to be , let's say, the full-time accounts payable person, espeically if both work horus overlap...THAT would be double dipping.

come on now, be truthful. if you have accepted employment at another company and are in fact already on their payroll while STILL working at Cypress it is double-dipping and grounds for termination. anyway you cut it or slice it, it is considered distrustworthy by the company that hires you for a full-time 8-5 job that you are dedicated to them and them only. you don't need to justify your actions to most of us.
i give you all my blessings if you can find another job away from cypress and work them both for a couple of months. it would be very hard but could be done for a short amount of time. it just might pay for the cut in pay I took when I was hired by Cypress and the lack of bonus paid to me on all of my MCV tests. I wouldn't mind screwing cypress like they have screwed all of us.

I will continue to work my second job, more now than ever. I have sold the dog crap out of MCV and not getting paid on it, so I have to work my side job to make up for getting screwed on bonus. I felt guilty for about 3 seconds, or until I saw that all my MCV was not going to make me my money. I also think my manager knows that I have two jobs and wont call me out either, maybe he feels guilty and will turn his head the other way being that my MCV is so strong.

Not only have we been screwed on bonus and the IC plan but manyof us got screwed on Expenses. Up to and including not being reimbursed.
Especially the ones that were cut or left the company, totally got RAT FUCKED by HR.
Remember the card is under your name, you are responsible. Cypress will NOT PAY more money to directly pay AMEX via Concur.
If you know you are leaving Cypress shortly, keep your expenses down because those unfair, unethical, unprofessional losers will fuck you any way they can.
Best to fuck them before they fuck you.!
1 year ago I thought DDing was terrible, now I applaude anyone that can do this especially at Cypress.
