W/ in the past week I have thrown in the trash 5 + case of Lipitor, why because when a pfizer rep is to stupid to sell on facts they stick thier samples in the competors bin, like yeah, that will convince the dr not to rx the other product. Is that all you got. So in reponse every time I find at least one sleeve I trash ten fold, and if convienent even more. If they want to play that game I will fuck thier samples up! So do you want to play or sell skippy http://www.cafepharma.com/ubbthreads/images//graemlins/cool.gif

Keep it up, I am sure that soon you can add "cell block A bitch" to your resume.
If they only way that you can move your product is to screw with your competitor's samples then you need to find a new profession. Because if you keep this up the only person that will make money off of your actions will be the prision proctologist.

I'm digusted with your posts. I logged onto this site to learn about an industry I was interested in a thought might be somewhat respectful but 99% of people on this board are pathetic. I feel sorry for your families and coworkers. What unhappy and unfulfilled lives. Sorry 'bout your luck...

And another thing...
Dumbasses, when you leave enough samples for a million patients, what do you think the docs do with it all? I'll tell you, they give the patient enough sampesl to last for months and months. What happens after that? They come back in for a follow up and they get MORE AND MORE.
What a joke. You guys expect a ton of samples to do your selling for you. Losers!

Talk about a joke - that would be your post, you loser! You obviously have never represented a drug that actually ran out on the sample shelf. The statin wars are real, and for some doctors you better not let the sample shelf run dry (as lame as an excuse that is for a doctor not to write your product). Lipitor is the best of all worlds - efficacy without the baggage. Get over it already all of you who are jealous of Pfizer. Go crawl back in the hole you came from or at least contribute something more worthwhile on this post.

Ouuuuu, we're scared of your piece of shit statin combined with a bogus add-on! Let's see - Zocor, at best third choice statin with a fixed dose of a second rate lipid lowering agent. I cannot believe SP and Merck are banking on that crap saving them. The efficacy numbers we've seen already hardly stack up to monotherapy Lipitor.

Yea right, you can have all the data you want but the fact still remains that Merck reps are ineffective sellers. It took Lipitor 6 months with no data using only a PI to kick your butt.
Merck famous last words are wait until product x, y, z arrives but the outcome is always the same.

Stop fighting children! The simple facts are as follows. Samples are given to patients to get them hooked on the drugs similar to illegal drug pushers. Most of these drugs do not work but the placebo affect does and aunt Sally who is obese, smokes and eats bacon is happy with her Zoloft, Valium, and other so called legal Narcotics. As per the cafe pharma website last week Zocor, Lipitor and all of the other statins are toxic and do not work... The cholesterol myth bought and paid for by the drug companies is bull. You guys need to look at the big picture. A drug rep is basically a prostitute with a degree and fake boobies.

Ok kids, can you say "$2.34 a tablet?" By the way, most wars have a winner - it will be over soon. You jackasses at Pfizer have been a major pain in Merck's ass for many years now..... it's payback time.

What dose are you referencing - I bet it is the 10/10.
That's interesting, I saw on a Canadian website it was $3.53 for the 10/20. You must be speaking of the 10/10.
Merck can not afford to price V below Zocor 20 as this has the potential to excessively cannibalize Zocor which means Merck is now sharing Zocor revenues with Schering. When you start working with Merck reps, you will learn that Merck thinks only in their own best interests.
But the reality is that price will not be the driving issue with managed care - it is about PBM formulary which is based on rebates.
You probably don't realize this, but Merck PBM rebates are performance driven which means market share thresholds that are normally difficult to achieve.
Lipitor is so embraced by physicians, that no major MC plan will move it off first tier until a generic arrives as it is unlikely that V will drive enough share to offset the rebates gauranteed by established Lipitor utilization. Ask your NAE if you think otherwise.
Don't get me wrong - you will sell a lot of V. I do not believe that combined Zocor and V share will beat Lipitor and neither does Wall Street.

I would grab a Vytorin press release, if I were you...Flat priced at $2.34 across ALL doses - 10/10, 10/20, 10/40, 10/80. This price has been consistent across all AP Press releases.
It is a dark day indeed in the hallowed halls of Pfizer.
