The expansion depends on the FDA and the additional indications for Durezol, as well as the approval of ganciclovir gel. When those things happen, hopefully the expansion will too.

when is ganciclovir supposed to be approved? I read an old article that stated they where hoping it was going to be approved by the end of 2007, obviously that didn't happen. What about new ind. for Durezol? I guess I am just curious when this expansion is going to happen that has been talked about since the initial launch... anyone know anything?

I work for another ophth and was at ARVO....were talking about a fast track on fenretinide will it be out this year? web shows it's onlyin phase II. Also when is ganciclovir and and the cyclosporine to be approved as they are showed to be futher along in the pipeline? Just curious, would love to mover over from where I am now just curious about when they will add more reps because it's not to fun here at one of the "A" companies. Thanks!

Can you elaborate on that? I have a friend that works down south she said aeveryone would find out about the expansion at the meeting next week? Is that right? Will it be through the same contract co again? Thanks!

This is worse.
For starters 7 sig. a day only on targeted physicians. You cant even log a call in the POS computer without a signature.

SERIOUSLY?!?!? How is management? I know all managers are different, and I know it was a bit rough going after launch ...but how is it now? I would love to get back to working with a small company. Not to mention I have experience calling on these docs. Like I said I work for one of the top companies but want out for a smaller company. Honestly when is the expansion?

all reps went to other jobs. Manager was fired. Management is the worst you could ever imagine. sirion is the worst company you could imagine. If you are employed stay where you are it is no better here. I came from big pharma and wish i would have stayed there.

The company is slowly growing. Adding another few reps by the end of the year.

Best thing to do, is re-email your resume in September.

WHEN IS THIS EXPANSION GOING TO POP? I have got to get the hell out of the hole of a company I am with now, I have friends over here at Sirion and it sounds like a great place to be...anyone have any idea? I heard it's in the works just ironing out the territories. True?

I am curious to know if the expansion will ever happen, I spoke with an NQ recruiter this week who said it was a no go and dead in the water as far as expansion. Does that mean you are going to launch your new product with only 30 something reps? Thanks!

I wouldn't get your hopes up they are only adding 15 more territories, which is absolutely retarded. There isn't even a rep in every state, this company needs to learn a thing or two about launching a product and market penetration! CLUELESS!

Many NQ reps were not brought into the fold of Sirion. More territories are available than just the expansion ones. They are using a recruiter for the postions.

This is an illegal practice. Signature for samples are only used for the sole purpose of sampling, the FDA mandates that they cannot be used as a way to track reps or for any other purpose.

That is what I heard as well, I am hearing mutliple things from different people some say apply...it will happen after AAO, some say not until the new year, some say December...I just wish I could get a straight answer!

I'll bet this all boils down to the lack of $$$$$$. Why else would it take this long to make a decision to add more people. What started out as looking like a company on the up tic, is now fraught with indecision.

ok so with all the new potential drugs coming and the launch of Zirgan you cannot fare all that well with the few reps they have, not to mention there are numerous profitable markets where there are NO reps...when is this expansion EVER going to come. Some have been waiting since day one!
