How do the competing spine companies stack up - Depuy, Danek, Medtronic, Aesculap, etc...
Things have/are changing a lot these days - who will be making moves to stay on top with novel products?

Go with who has the strongest pipeline defiantly. The "big boys" are always solid and have their turfs where they dominate. However, there are more and more companies that have a product or approach that sets it apart. These guys used to get swallowed up and were the pipeline for industry giants. Now seems that companies are popping-up from no where, snatching business and are able to stand-up to the toughest markets. It's the wild-west. Danek and Kyphon fell victim, but are good examples of what I'm talking about... scared the hell out of the industry and didn't stand a chance.

Strictly my opinion (I work for a company that sells neuro - but not metal)
1. Medtronic
2. Depuy
3. Synthes
4. Nuvasive
5. Globus
6. Aesculap
This is what I see in my territory as far as market share and activity.

Would you work for Aesculap now? what is comp (commission/base) like? Contacted by company for an interview-serious reply only, thanks!

Aesculap is not a player anymore. You might get a few fringe docs, but most serious guys have gotten away from them. Inferior product and an inept upper management make for long run loser.
