OBAMACARE

The Big O is in a lose - lose position of his own making. Option 1 - kill the unpopular bill and get hammered from the left. Option 2 - pass the bill and risk massive backlash at the polls in 2010. I suspect he will go with Option 2 - any bill at any cost. He will also face fire from the left for Option 2, ala Howard (Brutus) Dean saying Obama is putting politics ahead of what is good for the country.

Too bad he did not build a true consensus by doing some common sense things like tort reform. His popularity is now in a freefall and the only accomplishment of note is the truly irresponsible "stimulus bill" that did nothing except run up the deficit. Virginia and New Jersey governor victories are the first of many Republican victories in the next year.

You can't pin the NJ victory on Bam. Christie had a long track record of going after many corrupt people in Jersey and Corzine was nothing like he promised he'd be.

Give me a health bill any bill that I can sign and create my legacy.
