He is a great manager. Totally fair! The people that are complaining are typical pharma reps that can't take the heat and have no idea how to handle constructive criticism. They only know how to whine and make themselves the victim.

 

I interviewed with this guy for a recently opened position. What an asshat! He was so full of himself. He could not answer why this territory was on its 5th rep in 3 years.

 

Thats actually very telling. The central valley is an extremely economically depressed area, in fact, one of the highest in the nation. Lets not kid outselves that socioeconomic factors play strongly into ones sales. For instance, in all industries in sales, the East Bay and San Francisco, Marin and South Bay reps always collect gravy. Why? Is it because they work harder than the rest of the reps in the state? Hardly. In fact, the affluent, the educated and the ones with the means always see docs, have the money for treatment, whereas the valley people simply do not.

Facts are facts. A person gets beat up enough over issues they have no control over, long enough and they watch their counterparts get bonuses and awards, while they bust their ass in a valley with summer temps that hit oh, say around 104 in the summer and who the hell wants to go on like that.

What could the manager have said, that wouldn't have send you packin? Now, if the guy is truly full of himself, then, that also may be the reason people don't stay. Arrogance is sickening and who the hell wants a know it all for a manager, if its true?

 

Actually... get your facts straight. It's 3 reps in 3 years. It's just that the loser chick from a couple of years ago kept going on so called "stress leave" while partying in L.A., posting herself singing on YouTube and showing up on People's Court. So, if you count her going out and coming back multiple times, I guess you could say 5. As for the other two, it had nothing to do with the manager and everything to do with the fact that they could make more money somewhere else. It sounds like to me like your the bitter loser rep from three years ago or the person that wasn't offered the job!

 

Uh, sorry but I turned down the opportunity to move forward after meeting this clown. If you believe that people left because it had nothing to do with the manager, you are either the manager or a complete idiot who has no clue about why those people left. I have no idea why you would defend this clown. How many other people outside this one territory have been turned over by this jackass?
