Equal pay/commission plan etc.. UT is set up as a consulting business/sales operation to the PH specialist Medical ctr. Lung rx team is just a pharma approach to the same targets. Slightly aggravating, since its apparent that the Physicians that treat PH would rather get help with issues they encounter as opposed to hearing how great one product is over another. Good products always seem to find there way to the Dr's consciousness. "Canning" sales messages is a Big Pharma approach, and honestly, most physicians are now conditioned to tune that out. The great thing about UT et al. is they are small enough to hear feedback and actually change course. The question is... will they.

You got it all wrong. It is all up to the sales consultant on which approach they use with physicians. You are correct that docs tune that "white noise" out - they don;t want to hear the company koolaid. They want to hear about how it help thier patient. Hopefully UT/Lung Rx have hired the right people.

UT is an excellent organization - well run, LungRx is a pathetic division run by Larry Sommerville - one of the biggest evil idiots in corp america - he is a reverse racist and only hires minorities -

Not true. Quit trying to play one against another division.

I can't agree on the Larry assessment. He seems like a guy who just overvalues metrics to the degree that it deters a common sense approach. As for the placement of minorities, its probably just more comfortable for him. He seems to have the skills of an administrator or an accountant, but not a leader. If you can't inspire people, pass the Baton!!

I disagree. You are bitter about something. Did you not get the job? I know of several WASP's hired recently

If you have a choice between the 2 organizations it is a No-brainer........As a Lung LLC employee I would direct you to UT w/o hesitation. There simply is no comparison. UT has the better products, leadership, respect and mentality - Lung is truly a 2nd rate org. that can't find a way to get out of the UT's shadow.

There are differences, but it's no different than comparing any other company to another. You have good people and bad people. You have leaders more concerned with yielding their power and reminding others of their egocentrism than with genuinely taking care of the hand that feeds them. It's sad to see what power does to a person. Unfortunately, this has become the world we live in. If you're truly interested in working for UT or LungLLC, ask yourself what you want in a company. Reach out to some of the reps and ask them how they feel about their company and its leadership. Most importantly, do your homework and see if what you uncover answers the question of whether or not the company is doing "the right thing" all of the time. That will help you decide. Good luck.
