What's going on at Halozyme. Half the staff fired and now it's Lim's turn to be shown the door. What's happening?

Was the PH20 that Baxter used to manufacture Hylenex contaminated?

Halozyme has never clarified the cause of the Hylenex glass shards. If the PH20 was contaminated (unlikely imho) then that would mean that all current trials may have to be halted. That would be a sackable offense.

Baxter has done everything possible to suppress Hylenex for obvious reasons. This was supposed to be on the market years ago and it has been one excuse after the other. The product eventually gets launched and then suddenly there are glass shards in the vials. I would not be blaming Lim for that if you get my drift. On the other hand I would be blaming Lim for having chosen Baxter - of all people - to partner Hylenex in the first place. The partner from hell.

Yes I agree that Hylenex has been Lim's downfall. This drug should have been big - maybe $500m pa but with Lim in charge it has sold virtually nothing despite being FDA approved for years. Enough is enough. If he's the guy responsible for selling nothing of our only FDA approved product is he the guy we want to be in charge of the serious products? The answer is clear. Goodbye Jonathan. Enjoy life on the Street.
