So will Heim's IT cost savings outweigh our losses in business productivity? In the past week we have had 1 unplanned network outage, 3 unplanned server outages and nearly 3 hours of phone calls to the service desk. The lost in our team's productivity as well as the opportunity costs to the company are mounting quickly. If this is going to be the status quo for doing work within LIlly, then it is time to close shop. I hope the leaders in IT are held accountable for this decline in services. Then again no one is ever held accountable for poor judgement in Lilly IT, except the poor vendors who get blamed for everything. No one within the IT management realm ever takes ownership of issues. It's always the vendor or one of the few remaining loyal Lilly IT analyst that has these issues dumped on them.

The "old" Lilly IT doesn't look so bad now does it? At least the people cared in the good old days. Now the vendors don't care and the few people left are burned out, stressed out, demorilized, under paid and have lost the ability to care much any more. Any Lilly IT people left know that they will be gone some time this year and are just waiting for the axe to fall.
It's only a matter of time until HP drops Lilly like a hot potato.

Based on the service HP is already giving it appears they already did drop Lilly like a hot potato. No matter. It is just musical chairs now until they can get rid of everyone they need in order to sell out.

When is John going to publicly "HEIM" Heim for this mess?

As a professional courtesy, executive management does not HEIM executive management. That privilege is reserved for Lilly minions and their superior contractor counter-parts.
