without somebody getting fired? Head of operations/manufacturing let us have an average of 2 years per product worth of inventory on the shelves. Today, we heard we have up to ten years of inventory for some products?

What dumbass is running the show in operations? Stookey isn't increasing the sales to get rid of the inventory. Tons of money held up in inventory that costs lots of $$$

So how does one go about getting rid of such an outrageous amount of inventory?
Ever hear of Whitebox?
Wright joints in generic white boxes sold as low as $1500 knee & $2000 hip. Comes with NO REP; sold straight to hospital.

Speaking of Whitebox, check out:

Apparently anyone can sell Wright Medical Products. All you have to do is bend over.

Just another executive in it for the money...screw the company & employees. Sr. VP global operations to exact. Why hasn't that head rolled. Maybe the new guy at the top will finally do something about the idiots bleeding us dry.

Bill Griffin is about the most ignorant executive I have met at this company. Surely Bob will get rid of him soon enough. Now, Griffin is also running the clinical and regulatory departments. Makes no sense to give that asshole extra responsibilities when he can't handle the manufacturing and inventory. This company is seriously needing an overhaul at the executive level.

You can come up with all types of HPMS's and trees and mind numbing power points. Bottom line: get rid of a few of the idiots running it into the ground.

No question that if he would spent half as much effort in trying to run the business effeciently
as he did hiring his "church buddies" , the company would be in alot better shape...if there isn't
a position available, he'll create one. Notice how none of the BOB'S (Buddy Of Bill) got the ax in the layoff.

It's not just BOB's, it is all the executives and their "buddies", none of which were laid off, but instead promoted and offered bonuses to retain their "talent". Only the government and banks think that way. Is that the type of group people aspire to be part of? Only idiots or people that think so highly of themselves they cannot face reality.
The company has been mismanaged for years and expenses grown out of control with all the empire building and foolish decisions. Get rid of all the executives and their buddies, then the company might have a chance to be saved. They should be in the CYA mode now and actively seeking other opportunities if they are smart.

Dear WMT Executives:

There is a big distinction between management and leadership. Contrary to what you may think there is a lack of both taking place right now.

A lot of good people were laid off all in the name of corporate America and EPS. Didn't hear any of you "Leaders" offering to restructure your salary, bonus, or stock incentives to keep this from happening. I guess it is rule #1, protect yourself first and tell us that it is all in the good of the company and our shareholders (which you are part of the major shareholders).

Enjoy your holiday and bonus money and thank you for protecting the value of our stock!

The worst BOB is MM. He has no respect for qualified employees or women. He has a foul mouth and is a very poor manager. Didn't he hire his wife to work there or was that another BOB?

One of the worst is the CFO, he keeps some of his buddies around because they are incompetent and it makes him look better. Wish there was an audit done on expense reports so we could see how much money he wasted by letting the buddies take unnecessary trips. What about the discretionary bonuses that he signed off on for those that were incompetent while the others that deserved them went without.

I heard that some were stating that those were laid off were a result of WMT "taking out the trash." That shows the mentality of the management in the company. If WMT hired these people, then they were considered valuable. If you look at the length of service of the majority of those, I can't believe that they were trash all of those 10, 15, 20, 25+ years. Looks like they were trying to get rid of older employees and women.

The lay offs were a result of poor management over the years and a last ditch effort to save money. I am sure that management either did it to clean up before the new president came on board to make themselves look like they were making an effort to control costs.

Nevertheless, the layoffs allowed some employees to get better jobs and jump a sinking ship. Those that were in the layoff will be able to get jobs before the rest of the company hits the market. It was a crappy thing to do to valuable employees in an effort to put a band-aid on poor management.

MM hired a BOB's wife.

How does a company let MM and Griffin run clinical affairs? Wright needs to dump Griffin. That guy is dead weight. A slimeball but dead weight.

Why doesn't Bob get a real clinical team in there? Give us some data so we can sell some product that Griffin's been stockpiling.

Does anyone know if it is true that "select" executives received special retention bonuses while they had a major layoff/reduction?
