View Full Version : AAI new Lab? Better fix problems at home first!

AAI has already experienced one failed lab in New Jersey, I guess they're ready for another dose.

They need to get their issues resolved at their failing current facilities before they jump off any more.

The new Lab aquisition is nothing compared to the problem this company has with the huge loss of its talent. With the new VP of Operations Paul Maffuid firing or running out the people who really perform the work at this company and the reason why alot of the clients have their work there, its only a matter of time before it all goes under! I hope Pat Walsh keeps an eye on this guy and see's the trend that going on before its too late.

I bet you will start to see more and more of the key players get tired of the under staffing, poor planning, lack of communication and just plain shitty attitude of some individuals and move on to a job were they treat you with some type of respect.

I have never seen a place that has so many unhappy people and a senior management team that has no idea of what's really going on. Their idea is to make fast changes with no plan and do it with insufficent staffing and little to no resources.

You don't want to work here.

Everyone is afraid, this isn't a company that values the employees; it threatens them. A long time ago it was a good company but all of that changed when the new management took over. Now it just sucks. Try Quality Chemical instead.

Now that Pat has Celsis labs he can shut down the Hall Drive lab at AAI. He will close Micro and Raw Materials because he can shift that work to Edson and St. Louis. That is why Phil, the head of the raw materials group, was publically humiliated and quit. Next will be Expo.....wonder if he will shut down formulations too. If they close Expo the rats and possums will have no where to live. Glad I am already in HQ.

The Expo rats will be right at home with the 2 leg rats in the New Lab building.

Looks like AAI got a new frozen rat (Eric) CFO. Moving from one failed CRO to the next; he should feel right at home.

If I read the financials correctly then Patheon has lost money three out of the last five years, with a loss of 16.2 million last year. Hopefully he can do as well at AAI.

Maybe the new rat can turn the 20 million of “ lead” Celsis stock into gold?

Check out this SEC filing.

Looking good....go team.

Who ever said that key Lab personnel would start leaving was correct!

I hear that VP Paul Maffuid's excellent people skills are making it easy for Lab personnel to go elsewhere. If he keeps on, Paul will have to knock the dust off his old Lab coat and hit the floor if he wants to keep clients. I also hear clients are losing confidence with us. If we are doing so well why are all the employees so unhappy? Everyone just laughs in disbelief on the disorganization and mass confusion.

Paul and Pat failed at Irvine and they will fail at AAI because they are bad people. God hates them and will punish them for their many sins.

Little by little the company dies, killed by Pat and his pals. Too sad.

Wow!....

It breaks my heart to read these posts. I am an AAI alumni from the mid '90s when we were the finest contract lab around. PPD was purely clinical,Covance was Corning Analytical and our only true competitor was Lancaster Labs. We were the 600 lb. gorilla!

Looks like it might be a stretch to make Squirrel Monkey today.

Sad.

Yes too sad.

Pat has destroyed what Fred, Ludo, Fran, David, VJ, Bruce, little Ricky and all of the other leaders or pseudo-leaders and sycophants could not.....what the previous management understood that Pat cannot grasp is that the staff is key to the success of the business.

Good for you!
It is good to know there is a local company for all the underachieving scientists to give their best 10%.
Maybe AAI can send over the left over food from their parties and new customer celebrations to ensure you are fed, given your low salary and poor working conditions.
Nice career move! Good luck.

The best have left, micros is shut down and raw materials. Chris Smith, Karl Yeager, Robbie Smith, William Bakewell, Eli Bianchi, Phi Toret, Bob Guardino, Glenn Jennings, Brian Dineen, Hanna Monds, Philipe Maitre, Lee Karras, George Spanos and many many more were not the bottom 10%......what's left at AAI are the people who are trapped.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Anonymous
03-27-2012, 10:08 PM
I don't know what type of coffee you drink but it must smell like crap. Eli, Robbie, Karl and Brian were worse than the bottom 10%!

The people remaining are finally getting a chance to show who was really doing the work!

If Walsh will pull the plug on Paul and put someone in there that has some people skills we will be on track. He has puhed out the others you mention and they were good people.

I propose AAI hires more qualified contractors instead of the half a step cleaning staff to paint and move stuff. I mean, aren't they a cleaning outfit? Who calls a janitor to paint? Shady...

Anonymous
04-17-2012, 05:01 PM
The cleaning crew you are refering to is a huge assest to AAI. You have no Idea what you are talking about. With the current staffing and internal OT restrictions their cost effective and get the job done. Making a comment like that from an arm chair belittles a good group of people and the work they perform is as good as any reputable painter we have ever used.

the cleaning crews reputation as a cleaning crew is not in question. yes they are a dynamic group of people and are good at what they do. no one belittled THEM. if a world class company needs painting done they call...you guessed it...a painter. when they need electrical done...they call...an electrician. its all about perception.

Anonymous
04-17-2012, 07:42 PM
^ so that's why they have a member in there group that has been a painter for 23 years?? You have no idea what you are talking about and need to quit while you are ahead. You have no idea at all what goes on in tommys group and the people he contracts out. Ignorance is bliss I see.

There are many multi talanted people in this world and because A Step Above's primary job is cleaning should have no limatations on what the company can do. As a growing company and one looking for value for service, I dont think there is a client out there that would have a care in the world that AAI's Housekeeping contractor performs other duties as needed.

Why as an AAI employee would the fact that a contractor performing a needed service for us bothers you is what is unbelivable.

I bet there is something more than A Step Above painting and moving furniture that has you concerned.

If you want to talk about call me any time.

anybody that reads these posts can tell that the work force @ aai are not very happy. We are tired of the lies and broken promises that came from our new ceo mr.walsh. the only promise that pat made that i have noticed is the tampons in the ladies room. big fricken deal. i only need them 5 days a month.mean while we haven't seen a pay raise in two years, just another lie or is it just more smoke being blown up our rear ends?

That smoke Pat is blowing up you bum comes from a $50 cuban cigar....and that is only part of where your raises went.....parties for him and his buddies, strategic planning sessions at expensive resorts have sucked up the rest.

Be happy and keep working those fingers to the bone, Pat needs the money.

Perhaps I can help:
1. Should be their, not there, selfish asses.
2. Remove the extra period in the next sentence.
3. Should say an idiot, not a idiot, in the next sentence.
4. You do not need to capitalize high school.

Good job though, as at least you capitalized Charleston.

I love my job, my coworkers and the very joyful work environment. aai is by far the best company that i have ever work for. whenever aai has guests they are always willing to give us the left overs that no body else wanted. They are very generous when they give you ten minutes notice that you are to work till 1900hrs or later and don't even give you time to go out and get something to eat for supper. AAI Pharma could be the greatest place in Wilmington to work. could be!

I find the last comment very interesting, i don't work in QCL. that tells me that there are more than one buildings within aai that have more than 95% of the people looking for a new job.if there were other jobs in wilmington aai would be a ghost town.

04-25-2012, 11:54 AM
I find all the negative comments, from one particular person in general, very tiresome. Obviously your services were no longer needed from AAI and you are a bitter person. You see for a long time Dead weight like you, was tolerated at AAI, now Management whom I have confidence in, is no longer dragging dead weight along for the ride! Put your Big Boy or Big Girl panties on and deal with it. Move on already. You are still obviously a non producer which is why you have some much time to post negative comments...Oh and for your "friends" that are looking for a job....If they are anything like you please tell them to hurry about already...The more negative people that leave AAI the better so the Company can focus on succeeding again instead of being loaded up with Dead Weight such as yourself...I bet you voted for Obama too. He too is a nonproducer...Hope and Change...Seems like you are struggling with the Change.

BTW....I am not Management at AAI...I just believe in the company and its people.
Now get back to work or QCL will find out your dead weight too!

My glass is overflowing.

This will be another Saturday at work, no overtime pay, no thank you, nothing.

And no, I am not working weekends and overtime because I am slow or incompetent, if that was true then I would be management.

Cheer all you want but think about this; where did the money for Celsis and the new lab renovation come from? They borrowed it! I bet that just paying the interest on the loans is more than the company makes.

We are facing bankruptcy again, remember how much fun that was?

Pat will leave before that happens and will tell everyone at the next company he destroys how he grew AAI, built new labs and how successful he was. He will leave out the part where he screwed us.

Did you see the Star News? Did you pick up on the part where Pat is calling us a CMO not a CRO?

Yikes!!!

If our fate rests with Charleston and solids manufacturing then we are really in deep stuff.
