Just so you know I was a ten year dedicated employee that was railroaded in the NE by Joe B.

Things turned out OK. I was fired for weeks of bad numbers and took a job selling directly against Novartis. Just got the call today.... I ranked #1 out of 100 in the country for my division at my new company for the year!! I guess Joe B. was right in realizing that I only needed better leadership to reach my potential.

Joe B. I'll send you a postcard from my award trip to Hawaii. Hope it's more funner selling produk at Novartis. It's pretty fun here!

Joe B. is a prime example of what is wrong with Novartis. You should have seen this asshole running around at the recent awards dinner at the last DPM telling everyone, "Be quite, we're gonna start" running around to every table like a lunatic - would have been hysterical if he had an MI - no one probably would have stepped in to help him either! He's a nut-job who needs a good kick in the balls. I imagine his actual IQ is well below 100. I can't believe how well he micromanages not only his DM's - but all the reps in his region. That's probably why he keeps getting rid of DM's, he wants to manage every rep himself.

Joe B. is the poster boy for the Napolean complex. It amazes me what being part of the "good old boys" network at Novartis can get you.

Now wait just a minute. Joe B has gone further than any other smoking midget in history. I mean, just think, with Joes short little sausage legs he is actually moving much faster on scale than a speeding car. Wait till your little secret comes out Joey boy.

Very few people know or appreciate the obstacles that Joe B has dealt with and overcome. First did you know that Joe routinely has a blood pressure of 275/450 on medication. Joe also has that staggaring challenge of finding adult pants with a 24 inch inseam. Compound this with the fact that Joe can not reach the pedals on any currently available production car other than the Mini cooper and you have a recipe for disaster. No wonder he sits in half of what was a copier room in the darkest corner of the regional office. Give the little guy a break!

Can you imagine rising to that level on a sixth grade education?

Did you know Joe B was born without a functioning head? A plastic surgeon had to create his head from the stub of his neck. That is why it is so diffcult to tell where one ends and the other begins.

Did you know that Joe was 6' in highschool. His shins were cut off by a rototiller while working for his fathers landscaping company

A good company w/ real, real bad leadership in the capacity of an RD in the NE (you can figure out who!!!). No interest in retaining quality performing reps. His time is short lived, can't lose 50% of your sales force and not get the eye of someone. I hear they need ya back in produk trainin' Joey. By the way, if you need to rent a car at Enterprise you better hurry, Novartis is hiring the entire staff there....No wonder the Diovan samples are starting to smell like Armor-all.

First things first. I am a rep and all you losers that talk about joe are the ones that work 3 hrs a week. Hes the only top gun in Novartis that is honest and trustworthy. He tells it like it is. You see, when he was a rep he worked his tail off and it paid off and now He took a region from the bottom to the top. So how bad can he be? He just makes sure that the ones that dont work leave. So try getting up each day and go to work instead of leaving your house at noon and i bet you he will get off your back.. JERKS.........

Wow, it is amazing you are able to utter so much sh%t while chugging such a large glass of Kool Aid. Perspective and History is everything.

Joe B was put in place to "fix Boston". How is he doing? So far Boston/New England is performing much as it always has and he has had absolutley no impact on it!! But it really isn't his fault either.

Fortunately for him he has spent little time here and the above is true. Diovan in New England for Geigy is going to make him look like a hero. Diovan (like Elidel) has done great in the branded class in New England since launch. Thank Ward M. and his reps since 1996 for Diovan. However, since the generic share in every class of drug (yes eczema included) has always doubled the nation in New England, the Reps of the area have been under appreciated. By the way, every single company and every single class of drug shows the same result in New England. So Geigy is going to look like winners while Novarits/ Ciba will continue to look like chumps despite their long term successful efforts.

New England is full of scared sh%tless doctors. They don't like new drugs and the believe in the generic. Miacalcin ruled here, Lescol ruled here. Safer, weaker is better. New England was #1 in Lamisil Ranking under Ron M.. Add Penlac into the the Market Basket and suddenly overnight New England sucks. Safer and weaker is better. By the way "Et Tu Brute, John Cutain?"

Elidel in the branded products did at least as well as New York. However with territories with 88% generic market share it is hard to compete. But none of you NYC or NJ kids can see that or can appreciate how difficult it is. I won't waste my breath.

Joe B manages by intimidation not leadership. If there was a true crisis in your life would you turn to Joe B for advise? If your wife had cancer or your kid was very, very ill would you turn to him?? Trust me, I have been there and he really doesn't care.

If you really hold Joe up to this high standard, look him in the eye and ask him about his basic training testing so long ago. You said, "He just makes sure that the ones that dont work leave." Ask him if he was almost asked to leave because he didn't want to do the work and looked for a short cut on the testing.

Joe B is full of ambition, does know what it takes to make his numbers look good and really could give a sh%t about you.

If you think Joe is a good guy and only gets on the backs of those that don't perform, how do you explain that over 10 PC winners have left him and never have a good thing to say about him. If you live somewhere near NJ or NYC and give him a sausage every Xmas then you are in. If you perform and know what the hell is going on and can intelligently sell to physicians that have a clinical understanding then Joe could care less. Ask him next time about sample vouchers for Exelon being railroaded to NY and all of a sudden they shoot to the top. Real ethical!! Have fun dropping off your samples and checking the boxes for Joey.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you define "fixing"Boston as improving sales results, he did deliver a #1 finish in 2005 (which is something Ron M could only dream about). You can argue at what cost, etc, and you may have a valid point, but the trend in the industry with big pharma is the end result, and by that measurement, he is a success.

FYI on joe B. If you give him respect he will show you respect. The problem is that he knows there are more managers not working than reps. All he wants is an honest day for your salary. He knows that someone writing a 5 page report about him isnt giving 100%. More like 20%. He knows what we are up against but has to keep on top of the children in this company. If he doesn't, children will do what children will do best. Obviously you know what that is. Try a little respect and i am sure you'll change your tune. JERK
