What companies are most people coming from? Start ups or Big Pharma?

I was told big pharma reps without small start up experience were weeded out?

Not true. The company is not paying enough for most from small biotech.

Forest, Pfizer, Novartis are not start up/small biotech companies. They are Big Pharma!!!

You people are so full of shit. They have not hired anyone yet. They have the field narrowed down and are conducting interviews for the next several weeks in multiple cities to narrow it down even further. No offers have gone out and no training is starting. Move on already. I'll let you know how my interview goes once it's over since you obviously are not having one yourself.

Look forward to seeing everyone at training. No NOH!

I noticed the recruiting firm posted this position again last week, does that mean the candidate in that area dropped out or are they still recruiting for some territories?

Same in my area, are the people passing up on the positions?

I did. I got a job offer but after talking to a couple of my neuro buddies, they convinced me to steer clear of this.. They will never write it and can't think of anyone who will.. I went back to my other position that I never actually quit.. luckily!!!

Yes. Pay is very low and PC culture is pushing people away.

The people who are saying they have offers are not telling the truth. No positions have been filled. Salaries and benefits are very competitive. Stop posting lies.

Wake up everyone. The likelihood of this drug getting approved on their slated date is nil.

FDA is still questioning safety and will want more data....just watch. Fortunately, for those that decide they want this opportunity they won't have to quit their current jobs till there is official approval. Make no mistake, this will be an enormous challenge and a nightmare for many to sell. It will be a difficult sell.

Utter bullshit.

Why do you say that? Trust me, there have been several reps that were told they are the pick. Many of these reps have worked with the hiring manager in the past and they are automatic. There are several physicians that are not excited about this drug. If you haven't taken the time to ask your top physicians in your territory their opinions before taking this job, then you are making a huge mistake. You will be surprised his many won't be writing this.

When you received your rejection notice was it an email? A call? From the hiring manager? From the recruiter? However it occurred, just move on. Sometime, whether it's at the end of the month, summer or year the 85 that will be hired will bring this drug to market and be received by treating physicians and patients with open arms.

Shoo fly.

Name the doctors that stated they wouldn't write. I say BS. Why wouldn't they write for suffering patients? Safety? Once they see the long term safety data from Japan and ongoing trials, that may change their minds knowing that they've already tried everything before. Maybe if you had skills you could do the job right and wouldn't be fearful of the difference you could possibly make.
