Sounds good to me- NO SYMPATHY HERE IF IT IS TRUE. MAYBE, IT IS A WARNING SIGN TO THE POWERS AT ironwood that the blatent discrimination by the Ex Novartis Managers IN THE HIRING PROCESS IS wrong and good things will not come from it.

3 month delay at this point should not be a surprise to anyone.

Zelnorm was delayed about 8 months. Still, that puts off hiring for about 3 months. Alot can change in that time. What will the managers do with themselves?

They will still aim for hiring by June and have representatives out talking about IBS-C and CC. Building relationships and getting ready for launch in September.

Really? I think that is a BIG risk on the part of the rep unless you are unemployed.
Think about the drugs that don't get approved.

I did that for 8 months with Zelnorm. No one needs to be out in Drs offices when you have nothing to sell. You can't talk about the drug, can't even mention it . If you think the GI's need to be educated about IBS and CC you will be laughed out the door. Novartis and Takeda reps have done an awesome job of priming the market. You can sit back for 3+ months and do nothing. They will want you to have dinners to talk about IBS...you will get the same suspects the 60+ yr old Dr who loves to go out to eat but never writes a RX in his life for IBS.

How are they going to convince people to leave their job where they are to jump ship for a drug that isn't going to for sure be approved until sept at earliest? I was interested but doubt I'll jump ship for a maybe. If you don't have a gig I get it but if you do... Waaaaay to risky.

Totally agree with that. Seems like those displaces Novartis reps are looking more attractive. I think they should wait until its approved as the "education" of IBS will be a joke

All BS postings here, offers will be continent upon approval of linaclotide no one will be asked to leave their current job until FDA approval is secure.

So you are saying that someone will have an offer sitting on the table for them for 3 months or more. Seems hard to believe. Lots of things could happen in those months.

Stop trolling sorry you didn't get an offer letter.

An offer letter for what? to work for a company with ZERO products to sell. Boy, sign me up. That sounds like a good gig. Plus docs love when a me too drug has issues getting approved. Im sure managed care will make this easy/affordable for the patients to get.

But keep that offer letter close by!!!

Me too drug? Me too to what miralax? Amatiza? Which doesn't work and has 30% nausea? Font hate because you are bitter and didn't get the job. Zero products to sell? Apparently you guys can't read pdufa dates. Yes for the time being zero drugs but most companies put a sales force place BEFORE the drug gets approved. You must be interested because you keep posting on a board you don't even work for!

The product will get approved but...

1. Will be hard to get CC business from Miralax b/c Miralax works and is very cheap.
2. Forest sucks as a co-promote company.
3. Physicians remember Zelnorm - worked extremely well but ultimately had very serious issues (by the way, Zelnorm was not the first IBS drug to have safety concerns).

Good drug but not a slam dunk!
