The South AVP for spine appears to be in way over his head as well. Reps in the south at our last meeting in Chicago mentioned that he does not have a clue. Who and why are they hiring these people? The merger maybe?

It is Lance Bates who is hiring people with no experience in spine. I dont think he has experience in spine either. Seems likes a pretty sharp guy but the learning curve is way to high for the industry. All I want in this merger is my 12.5% and I will be happy.

I'm afraid 12.5% is not going to happen after 18 months or so. Too bad. The combined org will lose a lot of good people that can turn around and take JNJ business. It's already happening around the country. This is where other companies can take advantage.

Who is the AVP for DePuy Spine in the South now that the reps do not want in their territories? Where did he come from and was he an Ortho guy? Is he a transplant to the area? No one knows of him!
