What is with all the layoffs in the sales force that is happening now!

There has been some layoffs and forced retirements.

 

Tis the season! Gotta increase shareholder value! What a bunch of crap products!

When you are a stand alone public company you need to do whatever to make the street happy and that means cutting jobs.

 

Hopefully they get rid of that douche bag SA from NC. Doubt it thou, he's their top diverter!

 

I can tell you that any job cuts have nothing to do with the street. Listen to the analyst calls. Focus for Zoetis is margin. Cuts are really redeployment of people and are not really affecting the total.

 

Last time I checked magin plays a major role in profitability and any "for profit" company has a number 1 goal of increasing shareholder value! From that you can extrapolate since payroll is the single most controllable expense, cut heads and increase profitability! Other than that stop giving your crap away and start selling it. Amazing concept I know!

 

Thanks for the textbook economic lesson. Not all companies that increase margin layoff people ass. Let's talk reality. Z is not laying off.

In lay mans terms, stop doing the buy 3 get 1 free along with the bogo's. Why give it away when vets are willing to buy it, especially if your capable of selling them on the science! Which most "Z" reps are not capable of!

So? You think you can run a 9000 person company with no restructuring ever?

 

Zoetis is a horrible company! Pressure, stress, bullying and intimidation is status quo if you work here. They have the sales reps playing "the cat in the hat", standing and balancing on a ball, while juggling all products and services, trying to meet quotas. The downsizing is ridiculous. Hold tight, more changes to come. It's time to weed out upper and middle management.
