has it actually been decided that vaccines will be selling it or are you a vaccine rep thinking/hoping you will be selling it?

It will probably be vaccine and oncology, it will certainly not be respiratory. There is not tie in, moron.

Why on earth would oncology sell it? http://www.cafepharma.com/ubbthreads/images//graemlins/crazy.gif The drug isn't going to be targeted to ONCOLOGISTS -- it is a vaccine to PREVENT cancer (PCPs and OBGs) not TREAT it (ONCs). Heck, to the oncologist, this vaccine is bad for business.

No division will be selling cervarix. The job will go to one man who will cover tthe entire country. Of course that man is recently rehired John Mudgett.

Duh, It is a VACCINE.
I love when tablet people think they are the same sell. It is a different business model. When is the last time tablets discused reimbursement, shipping, storage & handling on pills ?

Thanks for your words of wisdom. FYI Merck had 1100 reps in their vaccine division. GSK has 300. Looks like we will be probably be assigning a few more reps. DUH.

Since the doctors actually have to come out of pocket for a vaccine, the Vaccine reps are the only ones that actually do any selling. When is the last time a pharma rep signed a doctor up to a contract, made an actual transaction in the office, tracked rebates, etc?

Then maybe the better questions is what divisions are going to promote Cervarix? I doubt that we are going to let Merck outdetail us on a 4-1 basis.
