I am coming from a different background in pharmaceuticals and was recruited by Mike to take over the Providence territory. I have six years of president's club behind me and was wondering how he is to work for. How is Steve Sullivan to work for. Why is Arie leaving? Is he a micromanager? I need all the feedback that I can get so please write back in details on how you feel about this situation. I am torn, 65K is alot of money to pass up, i love my old job, but Mike and Steve speak volumes on how great this opportunity is.

I t does not matter!!!! They are tier 2 or 3 on all plans, and if you are a Pres Award winner.....You already know that means "YOU ARE DONE" in New England. The managed care work up here has been non-existant for two years. So you need to seriously think about it. They also manage with the Fear Factor mentality!! Not good when your drug is average

Mike is a nightmare to work for. He calls at the last minute to work with you--he would throw you under the bus to make himself look good, he embarrasses you in offices---he has a used car salesman mentality.
The former rep left mostly due to the manager---don't let him tell you otherwise! Run from this opportunity!

I am interviewing for this position, is it really that bad to work for Mike, he has told me that the person leaving is due to him wanting to pursue other things, is that true. He seems nice in interviews, but is he fake? Please fill me in, how is he on ride alongs, good bad or what? How is Steve? Are you in his district? Do you get along with him, as far as I know, he said that he left Organon six months ago, and that he gets along well with all his reps, I am really torn, the money seems great, san diego seems great, the benefits, but I cannot read the manager, is he a micromanager or does he let you do your own thing, is Arie really leaving to do his own thing, or has mike been terrible to work for? Please, Please answer, I am wondering, I should be hearing any day. I am loving my current job where I have been for six years and a president's club winner, do you recommend I stay

#1) With Mike as a DM, no one in their right mind would admit to being in his district on cafepharma. This guy makes the KGB look like the Boy Scouts.
#2) Arie left for one reason only: His DM. No ands, ifs or buts.
#3) Arie will not be the last by far.
#4) Did your quote above actually say that the money and benefits are nice? And you have 6 years experience? Please re-evaluate your current situation.
#5) Unless you are unemployed, do not consider Prometheus at this point. It was once a fantastic place to work. No longer. Sales force turnover during the past 12 months is about 75-80%. Does that tell you anything?
#6) Stay where you are. It's that bad.

Of course he is pushing you towards Prometheus. You are actually employed which will look like we "lured you" from someone.
Plus, there are no other candidates. I repeat, there are no other candidates.
I hate to be so brutal because you sound like a good guy/girl. Just stay put.

I've met all of the Prometheus DM's. Mike is definately the most underqualified and idiotic of all. He is big pharma. The car salesman hit is right on. He also sucked during his training at the home office.

Heard Mike was told to study up on the Dx portion of the business --since his knowledge of it was "weak"--rumor has it the guy can not hold his own if he had to--when it comes to Dx----go sell a car buddy!

I know for a FACT that he failed one of his tests during new hire training.
Very nice hire, Prometheus. Glad you didn't promote an internal candidate.

Isn't Mike leaving to be an Account manager? He will not be the manager in Boston. Also, If Boston is so bad, why is it doing so good currently. Isn't it ranked 3 out of 12 in the Eastern Region? That's not bad.

100% completely verified true statement. He did, in fact, fail a test.
Also, do not let anyone tell you that his move to national accounts was voluntary or in any way a promotion.

He is still the NAM. Ranked consistently last nationwide and leaves us all wondering why he's still here. One look at him tells you he's incompetent.

Let me see if I have this right.
You are a six time Presidents Club winner and 65K sounds like alot of money?
Also, as a six time Presidents Club winner in New England, and coming on here trolling for questions that you have about you potential future manager, don't you think that he will be able to figure out who you are based upon that one fact alone? How many six time winners do you think he is interviewing? IF you are that stupid, how did you win Presidents Club six times?
Finally, as a six time Presidents Club winner one would assume that your position at your current company is more than solid. Why would you even consider moving to a company that you have been given more than ample information regarding its dysfunctional management from the top down?
