View Full Version : Why are Forest reps so much better than Sankyo reps?
Anonymous

I have been with Forest for a number of years. I know that there are good Sankyo reps, and bad Forest reps, but in general, it is so painfully obvious that Forest reps are much better than Sankyo. Why is that? The Forest reps seem to have a much stronger work ethic, better selling skills, and stronger product knowledge. If we could get the Sankyo team to perform at a level somewhat even with the Forest reps, just think what Benicar could do!

So pain obviously you are smokin' crack. Stronger work ethic, and stronger product knowlege???????? You guys can't spell clinical. all forest is a bunch of used car salesmen. It works it my territory, but the doctors even know that we have a better clinical background than forest.

BA HA HA HA HA. Sankyo did have some good reps, but not anymore. Sankyo is becoming another Forest. Shitty reps, shitty managers and shitty company.

If it is so bad, then leave or if you are not a Sankyo employee, then choke on your own shit.

forest focuses on sales. sankyo focuses on providing value. the 2 companies really complement each other well. different companies have different cultures.

Look up the word "value" in the Sankyo Handbook and it says: "Meaningless lunches, POD money, spend...spend...spend. Final results: Flat marketshare."

You dumb mf'er. Managed Care for Sanyo, I mean Sankyo did an outstanding job getting access for Benicar. Even my MC team (yes, I work for Forest) agrees. Look loser, we had the seventh product to the market. Yes, the numbers were good (both price and bp reduction), but that means nothing when you have no market share. The theives you had at your company were agressive and landed big time accounts. We did not pull it through. Question: If Novartis/ Pfizer had this much access, where would their market share be?
The fact is we have failed this product. Not managed care, the sales force. You live in a dream world if you think EVERY plan will cover the product as preferred. There are drugs in every class (Lipitor, Celexa, ect....) that are not preferred at every plan, but still kick ass. Stop complaining and sell. Maybe then, your company would not have to pull down it's pants to Eli Lilly on their next product!

nice post but i dont think that you can let gov affairs get away with gross incompetence. several southern medicaid plans were lost--not because of the sales force but because of stupid business sense on the part of our gov affairs division... not to mention the fact that no one even made a bid in west virginia for wv medicaid. I mean no one even was there to make a bid. the same thing happend throughout the southeast. sc was the only group who could salvage this disaster and it wasnt even the gov affairs group who saved it. it was their representatives who essentially petitioned the state legislature to keep it on. benicar is the second highest prescribed arb in sc, and they lost the contract, so before you point the finger at the reps, do a little homework. the gov affairs dept needs to do its job.

I cover a territory in probably the poorest state in the union where we have over20% of the pop. on medicaid. Govt affairs not only dropped the ball on welchol but benicar as well. Bye bye to gold cup. Thanks hh

Wah, wah, wah!!!!!
Unfortunately for you, other companies bid MUCH lower to get the business. In some instances, these companies were giving it away. Even if Medicaid makes up 20% of your business, which I doubt, you should still be able to kill it in the "open" market.
Stop bitching and sell.

Putting the phrase "good reps" and Sankyo in the same sentence is a joke. In order to sell you first have to leave the house, then actually say something in front of the doctor and we all know that your legal department will not let you say a word. That eliminates 90% of the Sankyo reps right there. The other 10% are good and some even good enough to work for Forest.

Don't let the moron who wrote the 1st and 2nd posts (6 minutes apart) try to start a war between Forest and Sankyo. We are all we've got....make it work. I'd put money it was a rep from another ARB that started this crap. There are good and bad reps with every company. Can you honestly say you know the other company's reps that work your territory too?Try to get to know them, they are an asset...I meet with my team (both Forest and Sankyo) maybe once a month, even a few calls per month....it works. And the Benicar market growth is there too. We don't have 10 reps per territory like Novartis, so teamwork is the only way to succeed. Try it.

Why is it the folks in Gov Affairs can screwed up royally and get a pass. But as a rep I am not allowed the option!! I work my ass off and some dumb bitch can't get a bid together or communicate to anyone. She will probably get a promotion!!! Complain and your not being a team player. You bastards can go to hell!!!

No wonder you are a bad rep: YOU DO NOT KNOW THE BUSINESS! The reason the "dog" Teveten is on the formulary is because they gave the product away. When you rebate a product 70%, it becomes a good deal. IF we offered a supplemental rebate that high, you would not make a bonus! Think about it stupid. For Teveten, 30% of the price for scripts they would never see is a great deal! Sell where you have access, and shut up. Anyway, this will not be an issue for much longer. ALL of your elderly medicaid (dual eligible) patients will be pushed over to Medicare. Medicaid will become what it was originaly created to be: A womens and children program. GO SELL!

Typical sankyo coolaid drinking dm. Do you have some field coaching reports to do??? Hey shit for brains, when you are in a state with over 19% medicaid and you have very high mkt share with private insurance, you don't have many other areas to grow which is why getting taken off medicaid was devastating. medicare part d will not be much better b/c benicar is covered 2nd tier on the fewest plans compared to diovan, cozaar, and avapro. As for as welchol, probably not on shit. 2006 should make for another great year.

If medicaid makes up 19% of your business, what are you doing in the other 81%? Also, does medicaid make up 81% of the lives OR ARB volume. There is a BIG difference. As to Medicare, I do not know where you get your info. Go to www.medicare.gov (http://www.medicare.gov) and do some research before you post. You sound like the loser crying about the Wisconsin DM.

That is a good one!!!! That may be true, but is no indicative on where the lives will be. Look at the big "name" carriers, (where Benicar WILL be preferred) and that will tell the real story. Also, each state may have different carriers. You need to look to see how it will impact you.

Look asshole!!! I am a damn good rep!!! I fucking sell!!! The whole fucking truth is GOV. Affairs came in with a higher bid price than last year. I personally know people on the P&T and they told my Forest counter part and myselft that if Sankyo would have come back with the same price as last year Benicar would have been covered. And my rankings have came up because my Forest counter part and myself actually KNOW OUR BUSINESS and ARE TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS. Your ass probably does't even know your Forest partners!!!
