Post your funniest story about a line of BS that your DM told you. Ok...I will start. My DM used have this stupid thing he would say at district meetings about "how he wanted to grow old and grey together with each of us" All the while he was interviewing for other jobs. Also, threw his best rep under the bus when the going got tough...btw...he is a DM still with the company in the Midwest.

Sincerely,
A manager in the midwest that says corny bullshit at his meetings that everyone laughs at and betrayed a great rep that made him a lot of money.

My DM's bullshit saying: "I know Oxycontin is getting a lot of attention in the press, but in a few years our new products will be available and you won't even remember the name Oxycontin."

The lying was awful when my Ex dm hired someone from another pharma company when he knew purdue was extremely unstable. She was let go the day after training due to the patent decision. She had a good gig too at Glaxo.
How can the DM sleep at night knowing he fucked someones career up?

I will tell any headhunter that calls me that if I could hire him back, I would do it in a heart-beat. Well that situation came up and he came up with that there was some new hiring issues that made him look outside the company. Any other former reps hired back?????????

The hiring issue is that the COMPANY doesn't want you back. You shouldn't want them either!

The biggest lie: Windell is smart. He will look you right in the eye and talk to you. He has a great sense of humor. He never cheats on his wife with blondes. He should lead the sales force.
They could go on and on about the loser.

"Purdue has never had a layoff and never will."
[/ QUOTE ] It's not a lie if that was reality up to that point. The person who said this really believed it since there had not been layoffs in the past in the sales force. Back in the "Hiliary" days when most pharma companies were doing sales force cuts, Purdue only eliminated four sales territories in the field--all through attrition. There were some small cut-backs in the HO, but minimal compared to most companies that were panicking. There is a difference between a lie and voicing well-intentioned beliefs.
