Does any one read this at the home office? If so please take note: We have too many reps on our geo teams. I realize that it would mean less managers, less middle management etc. But it is a fact.

The problem isn't the amount of reps, it's the breakdown of the territories. Condense them and place two reps on a team running a two week call cycle. Excellent at building relationships, more activity and better reach. Simple or you can just quit and we will have one less.

No, the problem is too many reps. It worked about 4 years ago to have 4-5 selling the same shit, it doesn't work today.

Funny, when my team came on board 2 yrs ago, nobody knew what Micardis was. Is that because there was one rep who probably focused on combivent and atrovent? Maybe. I can tell you today, we've made huge leaps with Micardis and at least in my territory, the noise we're making is helping. I don't think there should be any team with more than 4 people though.

I already am on a 2 week call cycle with 4 teammates. No need to condense my territory, just get rid of 2 teammates

Has anyone considered just trying (a pilot ) 3 or 4 reps per geo team? I think upper management would be impressed.

A few districts in NC are now surviving with fewer reps, and doing well despite what the dip-shit RD deemed impossible. And the funny part is this--they are down to fewer reps because of resignations. I hated to see them go but at least we aren't tripping all over each other in offices. (Eastern NC resignations, by the way). Thanks Nana and Robin for running people away.
