Logging Your Calls

Does anyone out there log their calls late? That is, NOT on the day they were made? I just got called on the carpet for this and wondered if anyone else sometimes got these in late. I swear, this was one of the ONLY times it has happened and I will be damned if I didn't get caught. Shit, it was like getting yelled at by my mommy when I was 6. Sounds like this will be a hot topic at POA's.

My old manager used to check to see if you submitted calls everyday. I got caught out there once too. What a dumbass thing for managers to be worried about!!! As long as you don't wait too long to enter them in later, what does it matter? My manger now is great. I have skipped a Friday to put in calls (to go out) and then came back to put them in on Sunday. It is never mentioned. Try not to worry about it. Hang in there.

I work with another company and we're on computer. We HAVE to log our calls after EACH call. Time stamp...

We still have paper, which is great though. How do you like the computer?

I liked paper because you didn't have to maneuver the computer in time for the doc to sign. Also you can get one sig with computer...for the most part. You have to be quick. I get the call started before I walk in, do samples, log them in, doc signs while I talk and then I immediately write notes. The managers can actually track how many sample calls before a certain time (AM) and your last call. I've never had a problem. Works ok...no paperwork at end of day.

Just came from POA this week. Computers will be wireless which is great, but will also have all detailing material on them and signatures. JULY!!!!

Just like AZ; Detailing material? they will monitor how long each piece is on and time stamp everything. Good luck. I'm fine w/it b/c I work my ass off, but some morons do not work and they track sigs, time, there were even some losers who tried to change the time and that was tracked. This weeds out the lazy butts out there.

Just wondering if there is any correlation between detailing and length of detailing doctors and market share? Does anyone in their right mind think you have to read detail pieces to doctors all day long to increase your scripts? If working your ass off is doing detailing, then I'll laugh my lazy ass off calling on my docs my way all the way to the bank.

My numbers are way up and I won a trip b/c I target well, have a great rapport and hit hard at breakfasts and lunches. I also go above & beyond getting medical & industry info for my own knowledge base. It's important not to be a ROBO-REP which I see so many young reps are. No passion, no discussion - just detail.
