Quitting-Bonus Payout?

I am thinking about leaving Pharma for another position and was wondering whether or not I will get my bonus payout. If I work until the end of February will I receive the Winter's bonus(Dec, Jan, Feb) or will they screw me out of that.

They will try to screw you out of it. Remember this, make sure you work at least one day past the end of the quarter.

At least give notice that ends one day after the quarter. The turnover at this company is so high that HR will do anything to save money. Oh, they will also try to fuck you out of your vacation time.

With any company they must pay you for your accrued vacation time upon your resignation.

Bonuses are clear at GSK you must be employed by GSK for the entire quarter to receive the bonus. March 1st is the earliest to give your resignation if you want the Winter 2006 bonus.

Keep good records of bonus details

Also if you resign giving two weeks notice and the company releases you before the two weeks are up they are doing one of two things:

A. They are accepting your employment through the two weeks and even though they are asking you to not work they will pay you through the last day you gave them in your resignation confirmation

or

B. They are terminating you prior to your resignation date that you have provided.

With A. They will pay you your salary for the remainder plus accrued vacation time

With B. They are terminating you and are liable for the possibility of paying unemployment and open to lawsuits for wrongful termination

This is standard process at ANY company based on employment law


They should always go with option A if you follow up on it.

You will get all of your first quarter bonus. None of Q2. You have to work through the last day of the quarer to get all of your bonus. Hope this helps
