Can the incentive department please explain to me how I made less commission ($13,000 less) in 2005 with a region rank in the top 4 vs a 2004 region rank in the top 10.

Also, how can you say Pay For Performance when a person in my division finishes with a rank of around 30 in the region and makes $4500 less than me.

PAY FOR PERFORMANCE...I don't think so!

What a plan!

Friend, you and many, many others wonder about this crap! Heck, after the increased cost of insurance and car the loss is greater.

Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you take your skill sets and goto any other industry to make more money. Oh that's right you don't have any skill sets. At least nothing that translates into a marketable skill in any other industry.

Take whatever Pharma gives you and thank whatever guru you answer to. Believe me, this isn't going to last forever and most of you make much more than you are worth. http://www.cafepharma.com/ubbthreads/images//graemlins/grin.gif

OP, grow some balls and look for something better if you aren't happy. Complaining gets you nothing. Go out and do something.

I agree complaining gets you nowhere but.......

The new, old, next, tomorrows, yesterdays plan always sucks. Whats up with something like a grand between #1 and #50? What, is the the first year we're incentivising the field? read between the lines

This mail order bullshit and the goal increases b/c of it is an f-ing scam, I think its to "cook the books" at the end of the trimester, probaly a buffer for the "part-d" unknown.

I was thinking the same thing. This company always "changes the game" so that a rocket scientist couldn't figure out their baseline or if they really are growing their business. If you like it here then you need to accept this and do your best to get yearly raises and leveling. My base has grown $40,000 in 5 years. I don't cry that much over the tiny discrepency between me and the bottom half. It just is what it is.

I agree with all the posts, even the OP.

However, they don't need to call it Pay for Performance!

The old incentive program didn't pay for performance. It allowed people to sit on their laurels and collect high incentives while other were killing themselves in tougher markets and getting nothing.
This is based on your performance in your territory. Now you have to go and do better than you did last trimester and can't ride on last years fame.
Welcome to my world buddy!!!

Attention ASS CLOWNS. Take whatever they give you. Believe me it's too much. We just don't work that hard. Talk to your friends who actually have to show up every day with a boss in the cubical next to them. See if they sympathize with your tales of woe. Then go to your medicine cabinet and take a full dose of SSSSHUTTIE. http://www.cafepharma.com/ubbthreads/images//graemlins/grin.gif

There are a few of us that DO work that hard. Big geography and high volume/market share means my territory team has to bust our asses to make our numbers. Don't assume that everyone at Novartis gets to sit on their asses.

Our POD grew zelnorm from 14% to 38%, Diovan 9.5 to 11 and lotrel 3.00 to 3.45 we made the company a ton of money. Also only about 40% of rxes are recorded, the rest of the scripts are pure profit to the company.
