I have an interview in a couple weeks with ge healthcare selling their contrast media. Does anyone know salary, benefits, etc?
Any help about the position would be appreciated

Ge is a great company to work for. Excellent benefits, and a great company to retire with. However, do not expect to get rich selling contrast. I would estimate an average year would be 70k and an excellent year will leave you at 90k. What this position would be good for is to use it as a way to eventually get another positio within the company (CT Scanner, etc.) Contrast is a dead sell, with me too products and hospital staff that are looking to save a few pennies on a procedure. Every year when Mat. Man. is instructed to cut costs, contrast is the first thing they look at. Depending on what you are doing now, it could lead to better things.

Thankyou for the input. Do you know who the competitors are?
Also what about ge policy with expenses, car, commission?

Biggest competitor, Bracco. But GE can destroy them on their name alone. Everyone want s to deal with GE for all of the things you can bring tothe hospital. Other comp is Berlex and Mallincrodt, both awful companies.

FYI in some areas GE has played themselves out of some hospitals they have the business with by putting the price of Visipaque thru the roof and telling the hospitals Omnipaque isn't safe. I sell Scanners for Toshiba and know this to be true and know many of their reps are losing business because what some hospitals budgets are so out of wack. Yes that is the first thing M.M will cut and if the product is 3-4 times that of Bracco, Berlex or anyone else it will be addressed. Just FYI. PS. I thought Bracco was a part of Bristol Meyers Squibb?? Where is the area you are talking about OP, what state?

GE does have a high Vis price, but the docs believe it is holy water so they force MM to continue purchasing it. Plus, being GE is part of Novation, you are golden in most hospitals. Bracco is not part of BMS. However, the way they are run by management these days, maybe they should look at getting back with them.

Is the salary really only 70-90 for ge contrast sales reps. I heard it was quite a bit more.
Does anyone know about their benefits, company car, profit sharing, etc?

I heard it was more like 100, but that is just word of mouth.
I think with ge you get a company car and of course full benefits.
Does anyone else have any insight?

maybe the GE equipment reps make that much, I doubt the contrast reps do

Starting salary will likely be in the $60s unless you have considerably experience. Bonus at target is in the high $20s with potential to make MUCH more if you really ring the bell. Benefits are on par with all medical sales. My best year was $126K, average is usually about $96K.

Culture here is nice. If you perform and make quota, you'll hear very little from management. If you sit at home and miss numbers, they'll be all over you. Products rock, people are nice, sales cycle is fun. If you're bored at your current employer, you'll probably never have that feeling here, always something new to keep you going.

Which geographic area are you applying for?

You answered a post from 2006. Thanks for the information though.
