This is madness. Same old tired junk - no, it's actually gotton worse. Micro-micro managed. Now I have to sign contracts for my DM stating that I'll work 8-5:30?

More and more about metrics - not about sales. It's madness. Put some energy into managed care, access money, tools that HELP me do my job.

Insanity = doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. This is classic Ther-Rx!

The best way to find any other pharma job and then double dip at ther-rx. most managers only work with you once per quarter..thats 90 days at least worth of double dipping. The best best is when you finally take another job, ask your manager to work with you, then he will not be compelled to work with you again for a long time. Then park the car, throw away your samples, and collect that weekly check. Anyone with half a brain could double on ther-rx for 6 months.

Do tell more on the "contract". Was this just for you or did district get it as well. Which division are you in? Have always thought a time matrix report was available so not surprised. Bottom line if they want to fire you and that means any of us they can and will. Nobody works every hour of everyday if you do your a better rep than i am. Managers know that so ask to see their signed agreement on this hours worked bs. If thats the game smart reps will play and the matrix will improve guaranteed.

How many detail only calls will there be after 4pm now? My guess is Sarah better start checking every signature with Marc after 4pm. The light in the treehouse will never go out.

Another policy that is designed to insulate marketing from any responsibility of declining sales. I can see it now, Scott says to Jerry "I think reps are not working long enough" Jerry says I agree, I bet they are finished before 5 pm. Scott says, sales will increase if reps are required to work after 5pm. Jerry says I will talk about it with Sara. Sara talks to Marc who says, I am reading reports until 10pm everynight, I think the reps should work at least until 6pm-Sara says, lets make the reps sign a contract that requires them to work until......6pm wait, offices close....how about 530pm...that way, if rep 1234 is not in an office dumping encora and gynodog at 510 we can fire him for not performing.

Sully says, this is a stupid policy. Jerry says....you explain it to your sales teams. Sully calls more recruiters looking to leave ther-rx, dreams of Amgen and Sepracor. I bet this is how "good to great" companies force the employees to work right Marc?

Folks - this company can fire anybody for any reason. You are employed at will. Unless you can prove you were mistreated and singled out, have it documented, and have the resources to retain an attorney, you are screwed. There bull crap micro -management style is a result of poor products and management without any decision making abilities. Interview and get out. BTW to the poster who recommended double dipping, BAD idea. Most companies now call and verify that you stopped working on or before your start date. Last thing you want is to be left without a job.

Dear lord a CONTRACT? I would say goodbye and out the door I would go. My god why do you put up being treated that way. I work here too and the company does suck I have to agree with you there but my manager is good and my job is good so I put up with it as it doesn't affect me very often but the minute my manager quit filtering all the BS I am sure they go through before it gets to me then I would be gone so quickly.

We all have several years pharma experience and if you are any good at all you can leave and get a job elsewhere. Pharmaceutical jobs are a dime a dozen and once you've got good experience you can leave whenever you want.

When is Ther-rx ever going to realize how much money they would save if they had less turnaround of employees. Take value in the ones they have and they would be AMAZED at what would come of it. You treat us right and for the most part we will do the same. You always have some rotten ones in the group that it just doesn't matter but if you hold on to your reps and treat them with respect the numbers will show. This business is built on relationships and it takes time to build those relationships with these offices. Give the reps some time and for GODS SAKE don't fire your longterm reps or "push them out." We are all going to have good months and bad months it's the nature of this business. There are so many factors out of our control. ex. Managed Care coverage, access, medicaid.....the list goes on.

Ok my 2 cents worth!

Remember, Jerry or Mike or anyone elso who works for Ther-rx does not have a say. The family creates the policies that fail. It is a culture of mistrust that suffocates everyone on Hanely street. The people on hanely tell us what to do and they expect us to do it without ever asking any questions or offering an opinion on how to do things better. The history is that if anyone pushes back they are pushed out. There is not a single person from top down who can speak to Marc and say that Encora is shit. Repliva is shit. Gynadog is Shit. Chewable is and tastes like shit. Conceive shit....without getting fired. David can say it so can sara they will not be fired. Vic, who knows what he thinks. Mitch....cannot say it either. All of the rest of the executive are fired and there is history if they speak up. The people that create the products, the determine the call plan, that decide what cars, that determine the amount of access dollars, etc are exempt from the decisions they make. The people on hanely are never held responsible for declining sales...never. But then again, the beard has never spend more than 1 second in the field with a rep in his life It s a fun little fairy tale. I am sure when they fall asleep in the treehouse the beard and his wife look at each other and say what a great business we have built.
