Hi guys, I need some advice

I come from a small pharma company and have 7 years experience in it and worked my way to a training manager to give you a little background. What I wanted to know is, can you guys walk me through the process of selling injectables? I know is much different than selling a prescribing product, I plan to visit some ortho's and rheumotologist's before the interview and get their feedback as those are who i will be calling on, but if you guys can walk me through the selling process I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

10 year injectible veteran.

The support of the call can be different. If the office buys the product and uses it in the office the purchasing and reimbursement issue are different than if the product is scripted out and then brought back to the office. Those reimbursement issues are product on drug plan vs. a straight up procedure reimbursement. Also, with injectibles you need to really do a total office call, not just the doc. From the people who triage the phone calls to the nurses so that they are so comfortable with the product they aren't freaked out by anything. You also need to be a complete expert not just on your drugs, but the condition that the product is used on and what are the alternative treatments and why are they used. Also, if you know how the physician needs to code for services and injections, you are more valuable than just some rep who knows only their product and nothing else.

Great jobs to have if you can get them. Good luck!
