Targis is the market leader with Prolieve close behind, therMatrx is a proven failed technology. AMS only has one study, this should give you a clue. Look on the FDA website, they got hit with a warning back in 2004. They can only legally say it works up to a year, good luck selling that piece of sh@t.

Targis vs. TherMatrix-Can any AMS or Urologix Reps. weigh in on the advangages/disadvantages of each, which is the market leader, ect? I am interviewing with AMS.

I have to agree with the last quote. But the protatron was not mentioned.
Please look at the Max watts, frequency and urethral cooling temps on the machines. Prostatron 80 max watts, Tragis 75 max watts, Prolieve 50 max watts, Thematrix 20 max watts.

Also NO cooling = cooked urethra = irritation = Pt not happy = doc getting calls about Pt not happy = you get the idea.
I have used the Thermatrix, Targis, Prostatron, Coolwave, Prolieve, and the Tuna by Medtronix. For me the Prostatron is the winner. It uses the highest wattage with the lowest urethral temp. Ultimately you will nacreous more tissue, having a longer lasting treatment.
Urologix wants to phase out the prostatron. That would be a mistake.
It has the best result in an independent study where an MRI was done 3 weeks after the treatment. I invite anyone to do the same. I bet AMS will not fund an open study like this.
The Prolieve is a great machine with at a very good idea. Is tolerated well but again the balloon does always help pts in retention, 8 out of 10 pts that came in retention still could not void after being treated. I am a CS who contracts with 17 Urologists. I will use whichever product is the best. It’s in My Co.'s best interests to offer the best. I have preformed over 4200 treatments with the machines stated above and that is what I and my partners have found.
AMS my have better luck with their new in office green light.
