Probably none of the above. Why would all of the managers have to go to a meeting just because he quit. That doesn't make any sense. Something else has to be happening. Other home office people have left before, and it hasn't spured an emergency meeting.

This smells a lot like the Zomig layoff people. Do you really think they would call all the managers to Somerset to tell them GR quit or that upper management is changing?

Especially since they've been leaving all those voicemails saying how great we are doing. They said we were doing great at the regional meetings and then 2 weeks later Anne Fields was canned along w/ all of PC2. It's either something like that or we have a new drug, but still that would have been leaked to us somehow before this...

Surprised they have not leaked it, impressive buttoning up. Must have threated jobs if it got out. It has to be a merger with Biovail, some uppers at Medpointe would have to be let go because a buy out might have included that some of the Biovail uppers are kept on. All I know, (that I heard) is that there is going to be a change in upper management. I hope it isn't Sharon Clarke, she is the best thing that has happened to Medpointe.

I would have to agree. Why all the secrecy? It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the commercial isn't working. Patanase launch is delayed considerably. Do we really need reps calling on low decile doctors who have never been worth the time before? Do we really need 2 or more people calling on the top potential doctors? The question is, who will the gauntlet fall down upon this time? MP needs money. MP is "lean and mean". Let us not forget who is at the helm of this company and he is ruthless.

They either really didn't tell them anything or they did, but threatened them w/ their lives if they told. At least the Zomig layoff leaked before the big conference call last time. This time it's anyone's guess. You'd think they would know this is a tad distracting to the field force and would at least tell us if it's good or bad instead of just keeping us in the dark. Like we wouldn't find out that all of the DM's are going to an urgent meeting or something? Glad this is perfectly timed during the peak of allergy season, too. Makes sense to drop a bomb, good or bad, during peak season.

Oh? Why do they have to fly all the managers in to let them know in person? Why not just hold a teleconference?

This meeting was scheduled a week ago or more. Do you really think that some of the upper management who are allegedly leaving worked up until today, knowing they would be leaving? Doesn't work that way. When Paul Harindine and Jim Burns left, all that ever happened was a mass email from TW.

Keep drinking the koolaid. You will need it to get through today.
