Anybody know anything about Athena

I have an interview with Athena. I am a pharm rep looking to get out because I'm sick of just be able to drop off samples. Will I realistically get more respect from doctors and more of their time compared to pharm sales

Would appreciate any info on Athena

Athena is an esoteric lab selling to Neurology. Their testing is expensive and has poor reimbursement. This would have been a great opportunity about 6 years ago but now they have burned many hospitals and doc's will not fight for the pre-auth. The product is now into it's mature stage.

I agree, good lab. but Reps make little or no money. 6 years ago they gave alot of stock options, which was very nice. Quest & LabCorp cut them off, which in return made Athena focus there attention to the local hospitals. The hospitals soon or later catch on to the reimbursements. Perpherial Neuropathy Panel 1900.00/ Reimbursement is $50. You do the math. Keep looking.
