I have an interview coming up in the southeast. I come from small pharma and am not wanting to get with a large company. Is CV a good opportunity for me? I know the pipeline is strong and Ranexa just got approved, but what about the company environment? Do you like working for CV? Serious replies please. Thanks.

not really, I was a lot happier at my previous company, which was still small pharma, but bigger than cvt. they are giving us more and more bs paperwork that only wastes time, and the DMs come from big pharma, so they micromanage the hell out of you. This feels more like big pharma to me. Aceon and Ranexa is a big challenge to sell, esp with no formulary coverage. It's a lot of work, and management sucks- if that's what you're looking for.

Ditto to the above. People are working their asses off. Micromanaging seems to be getting worse. The sales force ultimately pays the price for management mistakes. I used to look forward to Fridays. This is even tough to do now because of all the menial projects we are having to do. time to go make calls. It is a volatile environment right now.

If you are making bonus dollars where you are - stay there. The only one making money in my territory is my Solvay rep - he thinks I'm terrific!
