    Re: Tiisue Tak

Sorry for the late response, but there have been several defects/recalls/fallouts from the Tissue Taks. What would you like to know?

There are currently no open positions in New York, although we do have 2 distributors in the State that have sales positions on a regular basis.

    Extremely interested in Sports Medicine

I know of arthrex and their competition. I interviewed with their distributor out of chicago, but they ended up filling the postion internally. why doesnt arthrex post current open sales postions on its website? are all arthrex sales reps through distributors? or do have some direct? every time i visitthe website it is the same ones with a post date of '05! i would love to work in arthroscopic sales, but their doesnt seem to be any turnover in my area, which i can appreciate.

Arthrex only works through distributors. Contact the purchasing dept. at any hospital for business cards etc. They can help you get in contact with Arthrex sellers as well as many others. I live in Chicago now and interviewed with Depuy Mitek a few months ago. I ended up turning down the final interview because of the territory. Mitek is getting killed in the Chicago market. Now I am interviewing for a territory in the Boston, MA area for a distributor that sells Arthrex. Luckily, I have key contacts out there.

Good luck and continue to network, network, network. It is all in who you know!

How can I get in touch with a distributor in my area. I am looking to get into Orthopaedic/Arthroscopic Sales. I worked in sports medicine as an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist for 10 years, but have been in Pharma speciality sales for the past 6 years. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Go to a hospital and ask. Go to a surgi center and ask. Go to an orthopedist and ask. Hell, ask any Donjoy rep. or any other rep. that you see in your clinic.

    Arthrex in Albany, NY

Kudos to the Arthrex rep in the Albany, NY area. I interviewed with Mitek and was very much planning on taking the job for the Albany area a while back. Then I decided to conduct my own market research by talking with some of the Orthopedic Surgeons and Hospital Staff.

My conclusion was that the Arthrex rep (Dave Powers) had the market and there wasn't much chance to take a large amount of business away from him, so I turned down the job with Mitek and they hired a lady to represent the Albany area.

It is obvious that Mitek is being crushed by Arthrex, so are there any Arthrex sales positions open in the State of New York??

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Justin,

Arthrex has hired another rep out of the Albany, NY area. Just me him last week.

Go to any surgi-center, hospital or ortho office to get business cards and develop some contacts. That's how you will find out which distributor has what.

Anything "dynamic" in the Arthrex pipeline to suggest an opportunity to capture more market share?

I am discussing a Sales position for a mature and historically underperforming territory. The Arthrex brand name and reputation is strong but what product(s) would enable the Surgeions to shift their current preferences?

The territory is generating about $80,000/year in commission...which isn't much for a straight commission job. Obviously, the Surgeons aren't doing the numbers or the territory would have been poached by now.

Let me know if you think this is a realistically viable opportunity to get to the $250,000+ per Year range. I know it will depend on-this, on-that and on-everything else...but, excuses aside...is there anything in the Arthrex pipeline to inspire me to think I can increase market share?

Are you kidding me? Arthrex is coming out with new stuff all the time. The new pushlocks and just recently the new triple loaded corkscrew. Out of all the sports med./ortho companies, Arthrex's R&D is the best. If I were you, I would stick with them and the territory. Trust me, it'll grow.

Anyone looking to get into Sports Medcine medical sales should look at Arthrex. If they are not in the area you are looking to sell, trust me, Arthrex can easily come in and take a large chunk of your business very quickly.. Not because their reps are great.... Because their products are just that good. I came from Smith & Nephew endoscopy so I know what I am talking about....

    Arthrex sucks:
-Back in the day they were something, they have become the AAA of Sports medicine by lagging behind in technology.
-Clinically they have average products, see Barber 2003 -2006 studies
    - limited to (ME TO) screws, instrumentation, and shavers
    - (Pushlock is there only shinning star, but ArthroCare and Mitek have better products)
    - RF wand disposable business is non existent (A JOKE)
    - Flagship fiberwire sucks, it is stiff and weak. Surgeons are becoming aware of alternative products such as, Ultrabraid, Magnum wire, and orthochord. All of these products are clinically far superior.

Take a look at ArthroCare instead of Arthrex. ArthroCare has a lock on the sports medicine market because of there extensive RF line, and has clinical superior anchors. In addition, they recently launched tons of new products and have a giant pipe line.

LOL.....Keep dreaming pal. I guess all of Arthrex's products suck when the company is growing 44% last year and currently 46% this year. Must be the horrible products. Arthrocare has a good RF line.....THAT'S IT! And still, you compete with S&N, Stryker amongst others. Arthrocare has no other products to support the loss. At least Arthrex is turning out new products each month. Get a clue before you post CRAP postings.

Arthrex's products suck when the company is growing 44% last year and currently 46% this year. Must be the horrible products.

    - Why not say 150% = Private company (How can you prove 44%, oohhhh that’s what they tell you HA HA!!

Arthrocare has a good RF line.....THAT'S IT!
    \
    - True best RF line 70+ % of the entire market, other products: OPUS Magnum, Larbralock, Labrafix, atlantech handhelds. All products they have are advanced technology and have more and better clinical studies and operative results. Arthrocares Parafix and Parasorb suture anchors are clinically superior over Corkscrew and Fiber wire CRAP see BARBER 2003 and 2006

And still, you compete with S&N, Stryker amongst others.
    - S&N True with anchors not wands, but Stryker come on HA HA HA!! They have the worst sports products on the market (No studies, terrible RF wands SEE FDA MAUDE Serfas 90 Adverse Events. (They only have approx 5% of the RF market and have 27+ adverse product failures/ patient injuries, most of which injured patents. HA HA HA!! Crazy.

Arthrocare has no other products to support the loss.
    - WHAT??? Loss, Arthrocare is one of the hottest medical device stocks around, year after year they hit every projection and grow 20+% every year (Wallstreat). (Real numbers not Private Pie in the sky numbers)

At least Arthrex is turning out new products each month. Get a clue before you post CRAP postings

    - What new (innovative) products???? Cork screw with 3 suture (make it 10, they will need them to hold down there crap anchors HA HA HA)

I would love to go up against a Rep like you – you are probably the old school relationship rep who bases all of his sales strategy on the lie he tells himself that he is best friends with his Docs because he brings them to games.

Also – I should fill this Arthrex board with links to clinical studies (which prove Arthrex products are average at best)

    I love it!!!!!

Fill the board up then. You can keep spewing out the lines that Arthrex rep's lie, but the fact of the matter is we are kicking the shit out of Arthrocare, Mitek, S&N, Stryker when it comes to sports medicine. You can have all the RF market all you want. I on the other hand will take care of the shoulder, knee arthroscopy, small joint, instrument, pump, suture and positioner markets.

Keep wasting your time spreading your BS on this board. Fact of the matter is Arthrex is #1 in sports medicine and the company is still growing. The surgeons out there must really like Arthrex's products or the company has KICK ASS reps.

too bad asshold fuck distributors like SouthTech in NC, SC and VA only pay reps 7%! try to make over $200k with that commission rate! i sold $1.2 million arthrex dollars and made $80k last year. do your research on distributors......yes, Arthrex products are the best on the market though.
