Dont' be angry...just read the post again and understand there are and have been dozens of these start ups....and the winner is....Dusa, Artes, Barrier, Quinnova, Coria, Promius, Graceway, Connetics, etc...????

 

It seems like if you read anything positive you are going to think it is a "seed" or whatever or the spin doctor is in the house. The point is that yes start up companies are a risk, but everything is really a risk right now. I dont personally know people at all of those companies that you listed, but I can speak for DUSA. I am in NO way a fan of DUSA's! In fact, quite the opposite. I can say though that many of their employees have been with the company for several years now and are making very good money as far as pharmaceuticals go. So...it just depends on your own personal comfort level. if you are willing to take a chance, if you are more of a "the glass is half full" type, than research it and see about giving it a try. otherwise do what you are comfortable with and what works for you. BUT why do you have to get on this website and be such a negative unconstructive influence on other people trying to make a change or trying to get a job? Just give it a rest and go about your own business.

 

The poster is on at 1 A.M. and says "give it a rest and go about your own business" gotta be corporate in charge of monitoring....and spinning ! Funny !

 

You are soooo stupid and what's funny is that you are willing to highlight your low I.Q. by making nonsense statements like this. In case you hadn't heard, there are multiple time zones idiot, not just the one you live in which is apparently on the east coast. Second, there is no criteria that says someone posting late at night is corporate. Your statment only goes to show that you will do anything to be negative and insult others, even if it doesn't make sense! Please, do yourself a favor (and those around you) and seek counseling along with a useful education.

I can tell you all that 3.5 weeks ago a headhunter called me and said that Promius (she wouldn't use it by name but rather a very lucrative Indian start up company with funding) was seeking a DM in the St. Louis Area and wanted me to refer someone.

The headhunter then stated that the managers were not in place and when they were in place then interviews would start across the country. They were 1-2 months away from even looking at a salesforce.

I think the above poster with a mid june start date is pre mature and not what I have heard. There are some Internet articles on the companies that Dr. Reddy has purchased and some novel products (EpiCeram purchased Ceragenix Pharmaceuticals and SebClair purchased through Sinclair Pharmaceuticals) they mentioned that they were going to have a salesforce in the Fall of 2008. Posted the articles hope they come through. Dr. Reddy might be the financing that these smaller companies need?

I have already interviewed last week and can tell you that they have all but one DM hired and have started the interview process in some of the districts. Some are already on face to face interviews, some are just now on the phone interviews. The above poster who stated they wanted a sales force in place by June 15th was right because I was told the same thing.

Ok, seriously, you sound awful! I am the one who posted at 1:00. I am not corporate. I just couldn't sleep. That is really all there is to it. Thank you to the person who responded after your stupid reply and defended the fact that 1:00 did not necessarily imply "corporate". I hesitate to post this because I seriously do not want to encourage you or solicit a reply from you. AND frankly I dont give a rat's ass if you go to a shrink or really where you go as long as you just get the hell off of this thread! You are a waste of space. You just dont serve any purpose!
