    Welcome to the Serono company board. Anyone is welcome to post here, whether they are an employee of the company or not. You may post anonymously without registering (registered users please logout before posting if you wish to do so), or with a registered username.

    Massive Neurology walk out, on the East coast. The regional manager is some complete moron. He was brought on after being fired from TEVA neurosciences. He is completely over his head, every account specialist could sell him under the table. If he leaves, or is asked to leave, things should quiet down.

    I was with Serono Neurology in the East and I left too. Chris Blanc is a disgrace to the industry. If he doesn't like you, and he probably doesn't, get out. If you want to work for a Biotech company, look elsewhere. He has fired one RBD, the RBD they replaced him with lasted 6 weeks before resigning. When Serono hired Chris Blanc, they were obviously despirate. The man had been fired from his last company. Look into his eyes, you can tell he's evil!
    My feeling is that CB is about to loose his job for not meeting company goal. I hope that's the case for the folks I left behind.

    Regarding what is going on at Serono, extremely aggresive sales forecast (400%) increase over 2002 for neuro group. Very tenured reps not making bonus and a great deal of discontent. Do not agree with other posters view of Blanc. Personally found him to be very driven and goal orientated. Sounds like bitter grapes to me....

    No bitter grapes, you don't know the man. I suggest you never enter into a conversation with him, he will decide he doesn't like you. Just stay away and hopefully your RBD will protect you. Ask why the new RBD left, I'm sure it wasn't because of the reps., it was working for Chris Blank.

    To the 10:00 comment. Info about 400% increase is correct, tenured reps not making bonus for the first time in their careers, some with 15 plus years, also correct. But if roughly 75% of tenured reps are not making bonus, something is wrong...extremely wrong.

    As per the CBlanc issue, if you feel he is driven and motivated, you should take your head out of his ass for a minute, and get a breather. Try some fresh air. Your opinion is definetely clouded, and biased. He is an IDIOT, and so are you! Lets take some bets.......How long will Chris Blanc last at serono? Weeks???? Months????     To the 3:40pm poster. Instead of posting your bullshit at 3:40 in the afternoon, perhaps you should be calling on your key accounts. Maybe then you would not be whining about not making bonus. Regarding your bet on Blanc's tenure, 10 to 1 says he outlasts you... And for your information, I have no reason to keep my head up his ass, as I don't have to report to the guy. I'm basing my opinion on the many interactions I have had with him, as well as the opinions of some people I have known for years. Bottom line, if you have time to be online at 3:40pm, then you have time to do whats required to hit your numbers. If you're one of the reps with 15 years in, then you should know that. My guess is your a douche bag.

    5:31 I guess you would like everyone to believe your in the field at 8:00AM and work until 5:00PM, M-F? (BULLSHIT)
    There are many reasons someone is able to post at any time of the day, never assume they are not working, but you being up there on your soapbox, would already know that.
    Not only are you an asshole, your also full of shit.
    And if you never worked for him, you don't know him, don't trust the opinions of people that do not work "under?" him.
    I would like to hear from anybody else out there who worked in the greater Northeast directly under CB, and please interject with your professional experiences, not hearsay.

    It sounds like the last poster has some issues. I worked under Blanc at my last company. The only reason I'm on the Serono board is I was called by a headhunter to inquire if I was interested in a job in Philadelphia, Northeast Pennsylvania or Upstate Ny. I gues there are allot of people leaving. Any way unless the guy has changed dramatically, I can't say I agree with the way he's being described. I found him to be an okay guy. Do your job and he leaves you alone. At the time he was only a dm, he was kinda distant though... Anyway, one thing I've learned from 20 plus years in the industry, despite how important we think we are, companies have been here before us and they'll be here long after we leave.

    Sounds like there are alot of sour grapes going on from people who have left Serono. I know Chris Blanc and yes, I do work for him. I find him to be a fair, honest and highly business minded person. If you aren't doing your job, he will let you know. Do your job and work hard and he will be your biggest supporter. I find it interesting that people are taking shots at him and they don't even know how to spell his name!! Again, lots of sour grapes.

    Don't even think about working at Serono if you are with a real pharma or biotech company already. They are not real biotech...not real pharma either..

    I am the RBD that left Serono, and was told of this web site, and that my name was used in it negatively towards Chris Blanc. Whomever is writing this stuff has their head up their ass, and has no idea what is going on at Serono-or with me.

    I left a great situation and CAME to Serono because of Chris Blanc, a talented individual, who is great to work for. I never would have left, had it not been for the opportunity of a lifetime. Those who are negative towards Chris or Serono, are untalented individuals who should get out of this industry. Take accountability, and if you have a problem with somebody, sell some freakin' product and then have the balls to tell somebody off in person, not on this piece of shit website!!!

    The money is crazy....but I am sure you have heard the saying that if something sounds too good to be true it usually is too good to be true. That is the story at Serono. They pay big bucks but you need it to put up with their crap. They don't invest in research...they don't invest in keeping talent...they just put the money in their pockets and pretend to want to be like US Pharma and US biotech companies!
