Glad you ask! As a former employee of Soporex, effective August 21, they are a bunch of crooks. Fortunately, no one else will know that since Rick Sabolick and his group of spinless cohorts have filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Myself, along with 122 other employees, now have 1 week to find health insurance, since our benefits will terminate at the end of August. And they are denying COBRA coverage. Oh, and it only gets better! We were informed of the bankruptcy filing around 9:00am and told at 3:50pm that we were only getting paid through LAST Friday. Great for them! They got three full days of work from the company that they won't have to pay for. How nice. There are good people that were still working today, from what I understand, for free, to make sure the patients were taken care of to be transferred to other pharmacies. How sad that the people that really cared about patient care are no longer able to do so.

I only hope someday that Rick Sabolick, Sharron Tolliver, and the others will feel the pain and desperation that the patients who have been out of breathing medication for 3WEEKS have felt. Thanks for showing Independence Home Pharmacy how cruel the world really is. Bill, it was a pleasure working for you.

They were sold to Lincare's Med4Home. Let's see how well Lincare takes care of these patients and employees. Will be intersting.

I completely agree with you and its more then 122 employees feeling the pain of this cruel world. I think we all agree that its been done before by those people and they will be responsible for their actions one way or the other!!!

Employees won't be a problem since they all lost their jobs. I know since I am one of them. Eventhough IHP had a very seasoned and competent staff, seems that the all knowing senior management in Dallas knew more about the business than the folks that had been doing meds for years and were more interested in the sleep business than the pharmacy business. Now we see the impact.

It is all a crock of shit!!!! I do not believe for one minute that the company was 8 mil in debt I have seen the money that came into the company on a daily basis. I think it is in an account overseas. somebody has it somewhere. Rick is a sorry S.O.B. He didnt even have enough balls or respect for the former employees of IHP to come and tell us himself that that we were filing chapter 7. My opinion is we were cheated, used, mislead and lied to.

If any IHP employees are reading this I think that we all need to go to Dallas on 9/13/08 for the bankruptcy court filing all of us former employees are individually named on the BK filing as creditors for more info check this link.

Sounds like a helluva an idea. Keep in mind that Mr. Linehan was running the show until June when he ducked out and put our buddy Rick in charge. I know everyone has feelings for the wreck and the loss of his wife and the other lady that died in the wreck but he must have put Ricky in charge before that happened so eventhough it was a bad happening, he was the one that spent all of our money on the sleep business and it sucked all of efforts out the door and we didn't get shit and now none of us are going to get shit! The bastards didn't even pay me for the three days of work that I gave them when we all recieved the email. I think in Kentucky that shit is against the law. I think that the move to go into the sleep business and hire that Duebroff guy and Linehan's daughter was a screwed up mistake and in the end it screwed all of us. I'm now on unemployment and food stamps because these stupid assholes wasted our pharmacy efforts on stupid sleep shit that wasted everthing. All of that dallas bunch are some really ingorant bastards that have stole our jobs.

I understand that you are upset I am too. I lost my job and I'm having to put my kids back on medical cards and everything else just like you are. We are all in the same boat on this deal here in Kentucky. I am calling the Commonwealth Attorney General's office there's a division of there office in the Marshall County Courthouse that represents our entire state. I think since the business was located here and the employees lived here. That section of the bankruptcy filing should take place here. Our laws here in the State of Kentucky need to apply not Texas State laws. If you agree the call the States Attorney Generals office if they say they can't help you call again. It's either this or we all get together and Hire one attorney to represent us in Texas I think they need to account for the money especially how much our patient base brought to Linncare. This was our life that was affected, our families, & our communities this put a hardship on. WE can either stand up & fight even if we don't get one dime make them account for the money. One person can't do much but 120 can. Also they filed our health insurance and the KY division of unemployment insurance as a creditor see pg. 23 of 59 on the link on the post above.

Just want to let you know that I was one of the Sleep employees in Fargo, ND. We, too, were dupped. We all lost our jobs and were told via a telphone call that there was no more work and we were not going to be paid for PTO or time worked. I am quite confused by the statement that money was brought in selling the meds...we were told that is the main reason for the bankruptcy...being on the front line, I know sleep was bringing in a whole lot of money...I think something is really wrong here, this isnt making sense. The original sleep company that we all worked for took pride in their employees, worked hard and made sure peoples needs were met. Once they were sold to Soporex everything changed...people were let go left and right, raises were delayed for almost 2 years, contracts were dropped, none of the promises that were made were carried out. We, too feel like a bunch of niave, trusting folks who were completely taking for a ride!

I think those dumbasses in Dallas sucked Winmar and the pharmacy dry by hiring a bunch of incompetent people that came up with stupid and pie in the sky ideas that just did not work but the Dallas dumbasses supported them and not us. The ones hired probably already have new jobs while we flounder around trying to make ends meet which is not easy when you don't have a job or health insurance anymore. Example- Mr. Linehan hired his daughter for what we heard was a lot of money and none of the people I talk with can figure out what she did for the company!!!!!!!!!

I have known Mr. Linehan a long time, nearly 23 years. I know that he has been very successful at every health care venture he's been involved with. This bankruptcy has me completely baffled, especially when i read about money being unaccounted for...that doesn't sound like the Linehan that I know. But my concern is not as an employee, but as an investor. I put up nearly 100 grand to initially help fund Soporex as a SLEEP studies company. The meds and respiratory stuff came later. But what really concerns me is that an investor and part owner (to some small degree), i had absolutely zero idea all this was going down. I have talked to mr. Linehan last week, but have not heard from Mr. Sabolick at all. Calls are not being returned. If anyone knows anything else, i would love to hear from you...nasdaq4156@hotmail.com.
    Thank you.

The sad fact of the matter is we are all suffering because of Rick Sabolik, (correct spelling) who hopefully will soon prove ultimately responsible and pay for the demise of Soporex/IHP and the families and patients associated. He fired anyone who disagreed with him over the last few months, then he hired additional accountants (eyebrows should raise here) (he is also I believe a CPA himself. Google him, and see what a lovely person he had been to his last employer. they got the Sabolik treatment as well, and only after a few short months working for them with a 250K salary, then they had to PAY him 150K in "settlement". Rotech also lost Sabolik and Linehan in an "accounting" scandal. Soporex was "unlucky" enough to have him around even longer, long enough to completely destroy it). Read all about it, and then put 2 and 2 together where you think the money went (hint hint), and why IHP and Soporex had to file Chapter 7. I agree with an earlier post, I won't ever believe for a second the money is gone. He had just angrily chastised management at IHP for telling potential investors the "truth" about our situation. Then he stated he and his new found friends, had padded the books for the last group of Investers looking at a future with IHP, and then showed up to be in the last potential investor meetings so they wouldn't be told anything "wrong".
Our only hope, and not that it will do any of us much good now, except to see him pay sufficiently, is that someone with the testicular fortitude enough to fight him, and the right financial documentation (and believe me it's shocking to see how much money actually flowed in) will step up to the plate, and send that to the FBI, or any other agency that can take him down, and put Rick Sabolik away for good. If that person doesn't exist, then he got away with leaving our patients without their crucial medications, and the destroying of 100+ families and he will come out smelling like a rose, a very wealthy rose!!!

If this was a publicly held company some folks would be in deep shit. You just can't with hold or misrepresent data and think you can get away with it. As an investor that found out about this website from a friend, I am appalled by the information showing up here. It was my understanding based on the little I heard from management that things were great and the company was destined to be a force going forward. Now I find out that I have lost my money and there might be some hank panky here. Where was the board of directors during all of this? I guess in the dark like me. I understand from some inside sources that eventhough there was supposed to be a board of directors meeting each quarter, none were held in Dallas in 2008 and only when the truth came out about the company did they start having meetings on the telephone over the last month. And to the poster that said they had known Mr. Linehan for all those years, how could he let this happen?

Okay folks, this whole company was nothing but a bunch of Rotech rejects who started Soporex for a quick profit. Mr Linehan was the man in charge, sure Rick Sobolick has some culpability in this, but, Mr Linehan is the one who has done this before. Hiring cronies and then running a business into the ground. Just because you wear a cpap doesnt mean you can run a sleep company Steve. They were very much kept in the loop on Winmars failings, they heard about it every day in conference calls from their minions. They ignored them for the quick buck. Marcia Nelson is also very culpable in this, she was the "Yes Woman" in Fargo. Now shes playing the victim and is trying to open her doors again. Is she being honest with the partnering hospitals? Hell No She's Not !!! Poor Service, Poor Managment and Poor Skills. Good Riddance. Sorry some employees were let go, but, don't blame it all in Dallas. Look no further than Fargo.

Her's from the CURRENT Winmar Website:

    OUR STORY

Winmar Diagnostics has been a wonderful adventure! The company was started over 13 years ago, with a vision, a dream, and a lot of passion. We are so thankful to have been able to make a difference in people's lives!

Our story began many years ago, when the original founders worked in a local hospital as Co-Coordinators of an Apnea Program. Ultimately, the hospital experienced downsizing, and the Apnea Program was affected. It was difficult to imagine not being able to do what we knew made a difference and we could not imagine that anyone could do it any better! As a result, Winmar was born.

Our contacts with various people in the Sleep Community led us to a gentleman who mentored us and created our vision. He pointed out our passion, and believed in what we were doing and could do. He worked with us to create a strategy to develop our own business. We started knocking on doors, and networking. Our phone started ringing, and things fell into place!

We are now in our 15th year in business, and we are now a Soporex Sleep Solutions company. We continue to have a passion for making a difference in our patient's lives, as well as the lives of the wonderful people that make up the Winmar Team!

    Marcia Nelson, RT
VP, North Central Operations and Implementation

THEY AREN'T BANKRUPT!!! THEY'RE OPERATING IN FARGO. INVESTORS WANNA LINE UP TO GET YOUR MONIES BACK? WHAT A SCAM!!!
